JANUARY 15, 1948 — OCTOBER 5, 2025

Glenda was born on January 15, 1948 and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 5, 2026 following a long battle with dementia. She was deeply loved and will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Fredie Ward Davis, father, Glen B. Davis, and brother Glen B. Davis, Jr. She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Namer (Robert) of River Ridge, La., Sandra Roberts (Charlie) of Keachi, La., Beth Hamm (Tomas) of Knoxville, TN, and brother Dennis Davis of Minden, La. She is also survived by her nieces, Tina Roberts Thompson (Rick), Dana Namer Massett (Mark), Lara Namer DiCristina (Shane), Sara Namer Metro (Michael), Jana Namer Siles (David) and nephew, Mike Roberts (Chastity), along with 6 great-nieces and 9 great-nephews.

Jimmy left this earthly life at the age of 72, after a short but courageous battle with liver cancer. Jimmy was born and raised in Mansfield, Louisiana. Born to James Earnest Norwood I and Pauline Daniels Norwood. Jimmy was a son, husband, dad, adopted dad to many, Papaw, Great Papaw, brother-in-law, and Uncle.

Jimmy worked for Valley Electric in his young adult years, but his love was the oilfield. He worked for companies like Wheless, Scan, Greywolf, Sawyer, Patterson and Hallmark Oil and Gas. There wasn’t anything he could not tell you about a drilling rig and referred to the younger oilfield crews as “The Pepsi Generation”.

Gus Rachal, Jr. returned home to the Lord surrounded by his family on September 20, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Gus passed away at the age of 93, leaving a legacy of generosity, honor, and devotion to his family. His life was marked by generosity toward his family, friends, and those in need. Those fortunate to know Gus can recall his many stories and share stories of their own about him. Younger generations who knew him as Paw Paw and Uncle Gus remember the pride he had in his family and the life lessons he instilled in them. Having grown up farming, he loved animals, and each year he looked forward to raising new foals and planting his garden.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Dennis Ray Richardson, 71, will be held at 11:00 a. m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Logansport, with Rev. Dean Register and Shawn Thrapp officiating. Interment will follow at O.E. Price Cemetery in Logansport, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a. m. until 11:00 a. m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Logansport. Dennis Ray Richardson was born on December 3, 1954, in Rayville, Louisiana, to Fred L. Richardson and H. “Marie” Harwood Richardson. He passed away on September 1, 2026, in Logansport, Louisiana, with his family by his side.

On August 9, 2026, former Social Security Administration Regional Commissioner, Businessman, and Civic Leader Horace Livingston Dickerson, Jr. departed his extraordinary life on this earth. Horace was one of nine children born to the late Horace Livingston Dickerson, Sr. and the late Amy Green Dickerson. He was born in rural Gloster (De Soto Parish), Louisiana, on February 13, 1941. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Reverend William Tyler at New Bethlehem Baptist Church. After graduating from Second Ward High School, he attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. n 1964, Horace married his lifelong partner and love, Delores Jean Adams. Two sons were born from that union, Horace Livingston Dickerson III and Theron Chadwick Dickerson.

Helen Kathryn Wilkinson, age 89, of Mansfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 3, 2026. A visitation for Helen began at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield. On Saturday, August 8, 2026, visitation resumed at 1:00 p.m. at the Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church in Meadville, MS. A funeral service for Helen Kathryn Wilkinson, of Mansfield, began at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church in Meadville, Mississippi. Burial followed at the Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

John Herschel Bedsole, 76, of Mansfield, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born on February 24, 1950, in Mansfield, Louisiana. A Memorial service was held on Wednesday July 29, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana. John was a hard working and dedicated businessman who owned and operated a machine shop for more than 50 years. Specializing in the creation of flame-cut sprockets, he took great pride in his work and built a reputation for quality craftsmanship, honesty and dedication.
