Billie Peacock Coker

Billie Peacock Coker, 88, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Mansfield, Louisiana, from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, November 14. Funeral services were held at 10 AM, Wednesday, November 15, in the chapel at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Mansfield, Louisiana with Pastor David Permenter officiating. Interment followed the service at Oak Grove Cemetery, Converse, Louisiana. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Peacock and Gladys Ammons Bosarge and husband of sixty-three years Davis “Hooks” Coker. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Poole Hayes of Monroe, Louisiana; Laverne Bailey and husband Howard of Jasper, Georgia; two sons, Billy Davis Coker and wife Jan of Stonewall, Louisiana; and Jimmy Carl Coker of Stonewall, Louisiana; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.

He was a loving father, brother and grandfather.

Linda was born on February 15, 1945 and entered into rest on November 5, 2017. She was the daughter of Reverend Alvon and Sadie Hall. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Olivia Hassell

LOGANSPORT, LA—Olivia was born August 19, 1930 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana and went to rest on October 21, 2017. Most of her life was lived in Bethel Community of Logansport. Olivia, as she was known in the community was mother, homemaker, and gardener. She enjoyed cooking and feeding family and church friends. She and Coy met during their first teaching assignment in Sixth Ward, she as a home economics teacher and he as an agriculture teacher. After raising five children she re-entered the teaching profession, first at Town Country and then Central School at Grand Cane. After retiring from teaching her church and church friends were her life, along with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coy D. Hassell of Logansport; son, Bruce Morgan Hassell of Logansport; parents, Morgan and Stella Howes of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; and sisters, Lucy Howes Kuebler and Hilda Howes Taylor, also of Ponchatoula.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Iles, Sr.; her parents, her son, Rodger Dale Ford; sisters, Ruby Brown, Trudy Rogers, Ruth George, Inez Scott, Marie Antee, Thelma Phillips, and Gertrude Bennett; brothers, Arthur, Huey, Gathel, Walter, Guy “Burton”, and Dewey Burr; and son-in-law, Lee Bryant. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, David M. Iles, Jr.

The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 6 PM till 8PM. Terry was born on June 26, 1942 to Walter J. and Mary Pyskaty Wolf and entered into rest on October 25, 2017. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a plumber for 40 plus years. He enjoyed turkey hunting, coon hunting/trapping, fishing, raising pigeons, bee keeping, and working with stained glass. He was preceded in death by his parents.
