Raymond A. Vigil, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 4, 2023, in Shreveport, La. Born April 17, 1937, in Tularosa, New Mexico, he lived a fulfilling and adventurous life, leaving behind countless cherished memories.

Officiating the service will be two of her special friends, Rev. Vernese Curry Green and Sister Joyce Luman. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery, 106 Hwy 518, Minden, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Martha was born on April 16, 1942, in San Rafael, California, to Mary and B.O. Murphy and went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 7, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Visitation was held at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk St., Mansfield, Louisiana, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Martha was born on July 21, 1956, to Powell and Bobbie Gammill in Camden, Arkansas and entered into rest peacefully on June 30, 2023.

Preceding Martha in death are her parents, and her sister, Melinda Davis.

Patricia was born July 3, 1938, in Logansport, Louisiana, to Ralph and Avis Messick and passed away at home on Saturday, June 17, 2023.

Preceding Patricia in death were her husband, Dan Gannon; her sons, Dan E. Gannon, Jr. and David Scott Gannon; sister, Margaret Heard, and parents, Ralph and Avis Messick.

Darryl W. Rogers entered in to eternal rest on June 16, 2023, at the age of 79.

Graveside funeral services were held at O.E. Price Cemetery in Logansport, Louisiana. Visitation was held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 19, 2023, prior to the service time at 11:00 a.m. Bro. Delman Rogers officiated.

Darryl was born October 4th, 1943, in Logansport, Louisiana, to Norman Lee Rogers and Marjorie Hill Rogers. His hobbies included backpacking and hiking around his New Mexico home. He loved visiting and reminiscing about the “old folks” as he called them. He had fond memories of the family’s Rogers Reunion, campsite, cookouts, and talking politics. Darryl loved all his family.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Rogers; nephew, Steve Rogers; and numerous cousins that will miss him.

Fly High, Darry!!! We want to thank Superior Hospice of Mansfield, Louisiana, and all his caretaker “angels”.

The visitation was held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the funeral home.

Corley was born on May 21, 1938, in Grand Bayou, Louisiana to Roxie and Courtney LaGars, Sr., and entered into rest on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at her home. Corley was a loving wife, mother, sister, and “Nana”. She loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and playing games with her grandchildren. She was an active member of Kingston Baptist Church and loved her fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. She enjoyed visiting with relatives and friends.

The visitation was held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.

Charolette was born March 13, 1947, in Logansport, Louisiana to Clarence and Odie Foshee and entered into rest on Monday, June 5, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Odie Chreene Foshee; sisters, Deborah Gail Foshee and Rebecca Foshee Seago; brother, David Merle Foshee. Preceding her in death is her father, Clarence Stone Foshee.

David “Tandy” Copeland, Sr. was embraced by the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

The family received friends at the 9:00 a.m. visitation prior to the funeral at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Stonewall, Louisiana officiated by Rev. Mark Franklin.

He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Barbara Ann Crouch Copeland and Joe Edward Copeland Sr. (Papa Joe) in 1958. He was a graduate of Fair Park High School. Tandy was married to the love of his life, Donna, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church and they celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary earlier this year. They raised their children in Keachi, Louisiana living their lives to the fullest and creating a lifetime of beautiful memories.

Frankie Blunt Scruggs, 82, of Joaquin, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Visitation was held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. The Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Joe Halliday officiating. Interment followed at Lone Cedar Cemetery in Joaquin.

Born June 29, 1940, in Logansport, Louisiana, Frankie is the daughter of Lawrence Carroll Blunt and Pearl House Blunt. She operated Scruggs, Inc. Frankie loved fishing with her grandchildren, cooking, gardening, and her dog, Toto. Squirrel hunting was also among her hobbies in her younger years. She was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Joaquin.
