BOBBIE LEE AILSTOCK ENGLISH

Funeral services celebrating the life of Bobbie Lee Ailstock English, 90, of Mansfield, LA, was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield, LA. Officiating was Reverend Larry Pridmore, Pastor at Southside Baptist Church. Interment followed at Pollard Cemetery in the Lula Community. The family recieved visitors at 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service.

Bobbie English passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospice at the Carpenter’s House in Shreveport, LA. Bobbie was born on May 8, 1930 in an oil field shanty in Southern Arkansas to Clyde and Ethel Ailstock.

Bobbie was preceded by her parents, Clyde and Ethel Ailstock, her husband of 53 years, L.A. “Doodle” English, and brother, Clyde Edward “Eddie” Ailstock.

Funeral services for Billy James “Jack” Guillotte of Logansport will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020 with Bro. Wayne Jones officiating assisted by Bro. Rick Wing. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the RoseNeath Funeral Home in Logansport, Louisiana.

Billy was born on October 18, 1940 in Joaquin, Texas to Daniel Guillotte and Lola Mae Ramsey and entered eternal rest on November 28, 2020 in Shreveport at the age of 80.

Preceding Billy in death are his parents Daniel and Lola Guillotte; 2 brothers, Lewis Guillotte and Gene “Jim” Guillotte, and 2 sisters, Talma Arbuckle and Jane Bass.

Herman was born on December 7, 1945 in Shreveport, Louisiana to D.E “Tot” Bates and Blanch White Bates and passed away on November 16, 2020 in Shreveport at the age of 74. He grew up in the Haslam, Texas community and graduated from Joaquin High School in 1964.

Graveside service honoring the life of Harold Joe Craig were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Cassell Cemetery, Converse, La. Officiating the service were Rev. Jimmy Price.

Joe was born on November 16, 1939 in Converse, Louisiana to Luther Otto Craig and Ethelyn Fleming Craig. He entered into eternal rest on November 14, 2020 in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Joe’s favorite past times were riding the back-roads and visiting with family and friends. He spent many years dirt track car racing and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing.

Preceding Joe in death are his parents; his wife, Helen Springer Craig; son, Rod Craig; and brother, Tim Craig.

Tommy McMellon. Interment followed the service at Bethel Cemetery. The family received friends at the Rose-Neath Chapel in Logansport on Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Brenda was born December 9, 1955 to Clarence and Nancy Abbott Hall and entered into rest on November 5, 2020 at theage of 64 in Houma, Louisiana.

Preceding Brenda in death are her parents, grandparents, and her son Michael Brady Arbuckle.

Shirley Marie Spinks of Joaquin, Texas entered into eternal rest on November 2020.

A visitation was held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 located at RoseNeath Funeral Home in Logansport, Louisiana. Also, a second visitation was held at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. service time. Interment followed the service located at Holly Grove Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.

Shirley was born on October 16, 1955 in Houston, Texas to Delbert and Faye O’Neal.

Shirley enjoyed several hobbies such as arts and crafts, embroidery, word puzzles, watching her favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, drinking coffee, and smoking cigarettes. Shirley is preceded by her father, Delbert O’Neal, Sr.; sister, Deborah Faye Doris; brothers, Leslie Ray O’Neal and Delbert O’Neal, Jr.; and grandson, Tyler Michael Hendricks.

Funeral services for Marie Bedsole, 89, were held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Oliver Cagle and Rev. Toby Shaw officiating. Burial followed at Highland Cemetery in Mansfield, Louisiana. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Marie Sepulvado Bedsole was born June 16, 1931 in Converse to Richard and Magalene Sepulvado and passed away on November 15, 2020 at her home in Mansfield, LA. Marie was born and raised in Converse, LA and moved to Mansfield after graduating from Converse High School. She met her husband, Billy Ray, and they married and raised their family in Mansfield. Due to her sweet and generous nature, she was often referred to as “Sweet Marie!”

Donald was born on January 3, 1949 in Panama City, Florida to William Russell Hudson and Wilma Presley Hudson. Donald was the President of the Corvette Club in Shreveport, Louisiana. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded by his parents, William and Wilma Hudson, and his brother, Larry Russell Hudson.

BROTHER BILLY BURKETT

Brother Billy Burkett went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 1, 2020. Born in Converse, Louisiana, to John and Gladys Burkett on December 5, 1929, Brother Billy preached his first sermon when he was 16 years old. He surrendered to the ministry at the age of 17 and served as a Baptist preacher for 72 years, with all but two years of his service in churches in Northwest Louisiana. Brother Billy served as a Missions Pastor in Alamosa, Colorado during 1962-64.

He devoted his entire adult life to serving God and his family. He met his wife of 62 years, Mary Louise Pentecost, while preaching at Fellowship Baptist church in Sabine Parish in 1948. His most recent pastorate was at Bethany Baptist Church near Robeline, where he served up until 2019. He was instrumental in the establishment of Clara Springs Baptist Camp and worked tirelessly on other projects for the Louisiana Baptist Convention, District 8, over the past 50 years.

A visitation was held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana. Funeral services honoring the life of Johnny were held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating at the service was his brother, James Williams. Interment will followed the service at Highland Cemetery in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Johnny was born on April 15, 1949 in Jasper County, Texas to Luther and Gladys Williams.

Preceding Johnny in death are his parents, Luther and Gladys Williams; his wife, Deborah Williams; his daughter, Stephanie Williams; his brothers, Thomas “Jackie” Williams and Cecil Williams; and his sisters, Gladys Williams and Wanda Welborn.
