CHERYL KIM LEWIS SMITH 10/29/57 – 2/14/24

Cheryl Kim Smith, 66, of Mansfield, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, surrounded by her children. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church in Carmel, Louisiana with Bro. David Thompson officiating. Burial followed in Sloan Cemetery, Carmel, Louisiana. The family received friends on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 943 Polk St. Mansfield, Louisiana.

She was born October 29, 1957, to Lynn and Marie Lewis. Kim loved her grandbabies and spoiled them often and enjoyed watching all her boys play ball. She also loved going to the lake and fishing every chance she got. She also loved taking her “road trips”.

Keith Alan Anderson, 49, of Logansport, La, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024, in Shreveport LA. Keith was born in Slidell, LA on January 8, 1975. Visitation was held at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA on Tuesday February 6th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m., with services at 2:00 p.m. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley. Bro. Rusty Hall officiated.

Keith graduated from Logansport High School in 1994. Following graduation, Keith enlisted in the Army and served as a tank mechanic. He returned home and worked in the family business, Anderson Feed and also worked as a dredge operator for DT Midstream.

Keith loved his children Emilee and Lane! He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising a garden to share vegetables with his neighbors and friends.

Charlene Hager, age 98, of Shreveport, Louisiana went to be with her Lord Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in Garden Park Nursing Facility. Charlene was born September 20, 1925. Her parents were Ed and Myrtle Teasley. Charlene attended Many High School. Soon after graduating from high school Charlene met the love of her life, Herman Hager. They were married for 68 years. Herman was manager of the Beall’s Department Store in Mansfield, Louisiana. Charlene was happiest when working along beside Herman. Charlene loved Mansfield and had many happy memories from her years there. It was there that her children Sharon and Scott were born and raised. She loved being active in any activity they were a part of. Charlene and Herman moved to Shreveport. After moving there, they became members of Brookwood Baptist Church. Charlene loved her church family and was loved by them.

Johnny Houston Haynes, 92, of Logansport, Louisiana passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024, and was born July 18, 1931. He was known as Coach Johnny Haynes but to most he was “Coach”. Coach Haynes played Varsity football for four years and was on the varsity track team for two years at Springhill High School. He was inducted into the Springhill High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Coach Haynes graduated from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in 1953 with a Major in Health and P.E. and a Minor in Math and graduated Stephen F. Austin in 1964 with a Master of Education Degree. Plus-30 graduate hours attained NSU in 1973.

Donald Ray Hubbard, 82 of Mansfield, LA, entered this life on May 2, 1941, to Jesse Leon Hubbard and Nina Florene Horton Hubbard. He departed this life for his Heavenly home surrounded by family on January 13, 2024. At the age of 20 years old, he met the love of his life, Betty Joyce Ford, a year later they married and began a great journey. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening, tending to his flowers, playing dominoes, and witnessing to others. He spent many hours on the road driving for the Chevrolet company. His greatest joy was living for God and having his family near. He affected many lives through his strong faith and love for God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Leon and Nina Florene Hubbard; his brothers, Forest Leon Hubbard, William Richard Hubbard, Marvin Ronald Hubbard; and his sisters, Betty Darnell and Joyce Ann Hubbard.

Burial followed at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, 322 Church Road, Keatchie, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service was Pastor Dean Register.

Steve was born on December 8, 1937 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Travis Lynch and Edna O’Neal Lynch and passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 in Shreveport.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Dalton Stevens were held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Blue Ridge Methodist Church, 3500 Hwy 175, Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. Officiating the service was Bro. Glen Howard. Interment followed at Spring Ridge Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. Visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Dalton was born February 17, 1937, in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana to Jessie and Carrie Stevens and entered into rest on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Green Meadow Haven Rehab in Coushatta, Louisiana. Dalton worked for Charlie Renfro for over 10 years, and he also worked at Nabors Trailers for over 20 years. He was a deacon at Blue Ridge Methodist Church. He loved making crockpot candy and loved to read Louis L ’Amour books over and over.

A Graveside Service for Dr. Howard Wilcox will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Grand Cane Cemetery in Grand Cane, Louisiana.

Dr. Howard Stuckey Wilcox, age 95, was born in Boyce, Louisiana on October 24, 1928, and died peacefully in his sleep on January 6, 2024.

Dr. Wilcox was educated in the public schools of Boyce and Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from Byrd High School in Shreveport in June 1945. He continued his studies at Northwestern State College, Southwestern Louisiana Institute and Louisiana State University.

He entered Auburn University in September 1949, and received the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1953. After serving in the Veterinary Corps of the US Army (1954-1958), he returned to Auburn University where he earned the degree of Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine.
