JOEY KEVIN WHELESS 5/31/57 – 8/06/22

JOEY KEVIN

Joey Kevin Wheless of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 31, 1957, at Springhill, Louisiana, the son of the late Claud W. and Mary Lucille Hill Wheless. He was a member and Deacon at Providence Missionary Baptist Church near Sheridan, and was retired from Falcon Jet.

Joey loved serving God through his gift of music. He could play virtually any instrument, and any genre, from classical to southern gospel, and he did it with great passion. In recent years, he and his sister would often get to play for church services, one on the piano, the other on the organ. He was a living encyclopedia of movie knowledge. He didn’t just know titles, but also who starred in it, when it was released, and every other bit of trivia imaginable. His favorites were John Ford westerns, but his knowledge was definitely not limited to just them. Joey was a big kid at heart with an incredible sense of humor. He loved nothing more than playing with children and enjoying their laughter.
