DOROTHY MELTON CLOUD

6/21/51 — 11/13/24 Funeral services celebrating the life of Dorothy Cloud, 73, were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana with Bro. John Newman officiating. Interment followed at Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, Louisiana. A visitation was held on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Dorothy was born June 21, 1951 to Ruben and Gertrude Melton in Shreveport, Louisiana and entered into rest on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. She lived a quiet simple life. Dorothy worked hard all her life and was able to retire quietly, enjoying her last years with her family and friends. Dorothy was definitely a kind person with a heart of gold, and she loved everyone she knew.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Gertrude Melton; husband, Kenneth Cloud; brother, Ruben Wayne Melton; and her in-laws, Julian and Eva Cloud.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Julian Cloud and wife, Stacey, and Kenneth Cloud and wife, Leah; sister, Kathy Melton; grandchildren, Shelby Cloud, Lane Cloud, Kiley Britt and husband, Dallas, Charmaine Cloud, and Julie Cloud; and great grandchildren, Benson Ingram, Adley Mercer, Baylor Britt and Helen Britt.

Honoring Dorothy as pallbearers were Dallas Britt, David Calhoun, Timmy Nash, Steve Melton, Mike Melton, and Glen Helmkom. Honorary pallbearers were Jeffery Dick and Benson Ingram.
