Funeral services honoring the life of Rosie Syble Booker Lum Smith, 96, were at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield where Reverend Alton Middleton and Reverend David Permenter officiated. Burial followed at Union Springs Cemetery in Converse. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Syble was born December 31, 1918 to Tiny Ethel Magness Booker and Willis Jason Booker who resided in the Oak Grove and Hunter community of DeSoto Parish. She passed away July 29, 2015 in Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Houston, J.F., Edgar and Boone Booker; two sisters, Willie B. Booker Coleman and Evelyn Booker Hensley; two husbands, Willard A. Lum and Elzy Smith; son Charles Alwyn Lum; grandson Jason Edward Lum; and sonin- law, Kelly Leon Campbell.

Funeral services honoring the life of William Doyle Cobbs, 75, were at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield burial followed at Belmont Cemetery in Belmont, Louisiana. Officiating was Reverend Glynn Howard. Thefamily received friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Doyle was born on May 19, 1940 to his parents Larry and Edith Cobbs. Preceding Doyle in death are his parents Larry and Edith Cobbs. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 54 years Freddie Nesom Cobbs; sister, Dorothy Cobbs Renfrow; nieces, Pamela Neal, Paula Marshall, Melanie Patman, Sue Ebarb, Lyna Armstrong; nephews, Wade Nesom, Scott Carmical; great nieces, Rachel, Amanda, Kayla, Liz; great nephews, Hayden, Justin, Matthew, Thomas, Dakota, Colton, Marshall, Ricky; and great great niece, Olivia.

Serviceshonoring her were held on SundayJuly 26, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. atRose-Neath in Mansfield. Thefamily received family and friendsat Rose-Neath on Saturday, July25, 2015 beginning at 5:00 P/M. Betty was born in Knoxville,Tennessee, February 15, 1920 toChester C. Huffman and DorothyCaldwell Huffman. They movedto Shreveport, La. in 1926, whereBetty graduated from C.E. Byrd High School. She received B.A. andB.S. degrees from Texas State College for Women; a M.S. degreefrom Louisiana State University; and did post graduate work atLeland Stanford University, where she was a doctoral candidate inHealth Education and a teaching assistant in corrective physicaleducation classes. She taught one year at Northwestern State Collegeand for five years at Louisiana State University.

Services for Annie Marie McCallum 90, were held at 12:00 PM,on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield,Louisiana where Reverend Jody Hooper officiated. Graveside service followed at 3:00 PM at Comrade Cemetery in Simpson, Louisiana. The family received friends at Rose-NeathFuneral Home in Mansfield,Louisiana from 5:00 until 7:00 PM onThursday, July 16, 2015. Annie was born May 13, 1925 in Vernon Parish, Louisiana to her parents Hamp and Delia Preceding Annie in death are herparents, Hamp and Delia Funderburk Lynch; husband, Eddie McCallum; son, Jimmy Wade Singletary; brothers,Furman Lynch, Wilson Lynch; sister, Eunice Wallett.Those left behind to cherish her memory is her son, D.L.

Thefamily receiveed friends at Rose-Neath in Mansfield on Friday, July17, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.Donnie was born July 24, 1962 in Clark County, MS to C.J. and Alva Mae Baker Johnson and passed away on July 15, 2015 at his residence withhis family by his side.Preceding Donnie in death werehis parents C.J.

Visitation, Mass and funeralservices for Alice Fern Bates SmithPrudhomme, 74, have beenannounced, with the visitation beingheld on Friday, July 10 from 5:00 PMuntil 9:00 PM at Roseneath FuneralHome in Mansfield, with a MemorialMass being held at 6:00 PM. Funeralservices will be held at St. JosephCatholic Church, where she was amember, in Mansfield on Saturday,July 11 at 10:00 AM, followed byinterment at Carmel CatholicCemetery in Carmel. Msgr. J. CarsonLaCaze will officiate at all services.A favorite nephew, Preston Bates, willdeliver the Eulogy. Pallbearers will be Jackie Hilton, Doug “Slo” Smith, James Foshee, JimEdwards, Quint Gillespie and Gerald Laffitte. Honorary Pallbearers includeRichard Z. Johnson and Doug Young. Alice fought a hard fight with health issues these past few years but justkept going with her zest for life and love for her family. She left for herspiritual home on June 17, 2015.

Lori Michaele LaFauci Yarbroughpassed away after a brief illness andwent home to the Lord on July 3,2015at 01:54 a.m. in West Monroe, LA.Lori was born on October 17, 1964 toher parents David and Helen LaFauciin New Orleans, LA. Visitation andmemorial services were held at 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 5 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield,LA. Interment was conducted atHampton Cemetery in Elizabeth, LAon Monday, July 6th at 10 a.m. Lori was preceded in death by hergrandparents David Metzger, RalphStansell, August LaFauci, Lillie RuthDavis, uncle, Leo LaFauci, and her aunt, Judy LaFauci.
