Linnie Aline Mize

Funeral services honoring the life of Linnie Aline Mize were held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield, LA. Interment followed at Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation was on Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Aline was born on March 30, 1919 to her parents Robert Lee Till and Amy Huff Till. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Amy Till; husband John Daniel Mize; daughter Louise Kuehn; son George Mize; brother Wade Till; sister Christine Womack. Mrs. Mize was well known in Mansfield, working as a seamstress for many people. Aline is survived by daughter Alice Lucido from Hope, Arkansas; sons John Mize from Hope, Arkansas, Dan Mize from Dallas, Texas; sister Pauline Hudson from Jackson, Mississippi; brother R.L. Till from Pelahatchie; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great

Services for Buddy Cordova, 78 was held 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Logansport, LA with Reverend Lance Cypert officiating. Burial followed at Chreene Cemetery. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral
Home in Logansport on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Buddy was born December 11, 1935 in Grand Cane to Alton and Nellie English Cordova and passed away at his residence in Grand Cane. He was a member of First
Baptist Church in Logansport. Preceding Buddy in death was his first wife Emma Ruth Mathews;  parents Alton and Nellie English  Cordova; grandchildren Joshua Stone and Nacole Cordova; and brother-in-law John Hughes.

Jesse James Webb

Jesse James Webb, Jr., 78 years of age, entered eternal rest on November 27, 2014. He was born in 1936 in Longstreet, LA. He graduated from LSU in 1975 with a B.S. in Industrial Arts. He taught industrial arts in various educational settings. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife, Jeanette Doles Webb; one daughter, Paula Webb McNeely of Natchitoches, LA; three sons, James E. Webb and his wife Eunice of
Longview, TX, Michael Webb and his wife Darla of Natchitoches, LA, and David Webb of Arlington, LA; and, his grandchildren, Michael Alan Webb, Christian Swacker, Dylan Webb, Kathryn McNeely, Kaleigh Webb, Rebekah Webb, and Leanna Webb. Funeral services honoring the life of John McDonald, Jr. were held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield, LA. John was born on February 5, 1951 to his parents John Wilson  McDonald, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Lowe McDonald. He is preceded in death by his parents John, Sr. and Mary McDonald and brother-in-law Herman William Nussman. Mr. John Sexton, Sr.

Mr. John Sexton, Sr. passed away November 15, 2014, at the age of 79, after suffering from a long illness. Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield LA. 
Visitation was from 11 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Rose-Neath Mansfield. John was born on June 29, 1935 in Fouke, AR. He retired from Willamette Industries after 40 years in the paper mill industry. He loved to hunt, fish, and dance the two-step. John was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Lilly Mae Sexton of Mansfield, LA and his brothers Warren and Harold Sexton. He is survived by his sons John William, Jr. "Bill" and his
wife Beneta, Derryl Sexton, Greg Sexton, Randall Sexton and his wife Sarah, his daughter Rachel and her husband Ben Endsley. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Michael Clark Mathis

Michael Clark Mathis, 74, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of November 13, 2014. Born in Lafayette, LA on September 28, 1940, Mike was a beloved son,  husband, father, Pepaw, uncle,  storyteller, Boy Scout, handyman, fisherman and practical genius. Michael attended Mansfield High School,  where he was a star athlete and  part of the four man team that broke the state record in the mile relay. He was an Eagle Scout, member of the Order of the Arrow, and a Boy Scout Leader, attending the World Jamboree with his troop. In Mansfield, he met and married the love of his life, Lynda Sue Evans, and then attended Louisiana Tech
University, where his relay team set several state records that remained unbroken for decades He was an avid camper and fisherman, and he especially enjoyed bass fishing. He taught his children to love the outdoors
