Funeral services honoring the life of Mary Manshack Lilley, 92, were 10AM, Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Zwolle, LA where Father Tim Hurd officiated. Grave side services followed at St. Catherine’s Cemetery,in Noble, LA. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Homein Mansfield, LA on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 pm,with rosary at 6:30 PM.Mary was born March 30, 1923 in Ebarb, Louisiana to John and Josephine Sepulvado Ebarb. Mary passed away August 26, 2015 in Mansfield, LA. Preceding Mary in death are her father, John Ebarb, Sr; mother, Josephine Sepulvado; stepfather, Leo Manshack; husband, John Thomas Manshack; son, John Earl Manshack;grandson, Charles Myers, II; son-in-law, Bo Goodman; sisters, MaggieBrown, Evelyn Estes, Lucille Procell; brothers, John Ebarb, LennisManshack, and Joe Doug Manshack.

Gertrude Rankin

Manshack Lilley Nettye Gertrude Rankin, age 88, passed away at 3:03 AM, Thursday,August 27, 2015 at Oswego Health and Rehab, following an illness.Gertrude was born April 14, 1927 in Winnfield, LA. Her parents were William F. and Lottie Bell (Johnson) Mercer.She was a registered nurse and worked at various hospitals until her retirement in 1981. She and her husband then moved to Pelican, LA where they stayed until 2002 when they moved to Oswego.She was married to Daniel F. Rankin, Sr. on Jan. 24, 1948 inAlexandria, LA. He passed away Feb 14, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Earl Mercer.Survivors include three sons, Daniel F. Rankin, Jr. and wife Sherry of Rusk, TX, Frank E. Rankin and wife Rita of Bulverde, TX, and Steven E. Rankin and wife Charlotte of Washington D.C.; two daughters Jonnye R. Griffin and husband Danny of Knoxville, TN and Beverly A.Keener and husband Walter of Oswego, KS; two brothers W.

A homegoing celebration rejoicing the life of Richard “Ricky” Lewis will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Mansfield. Officiating will be Reverend Thumper Miller. Ricky was born on October 25, 1968 in Alexandria , LA. He is preceded in death by his parents Alan and Dolores Burgay Lewis. Ricky is survived by his wife, Balinda Lewis; three children Ashley Myers, Alix Lewis and Nicholas Lewis; two stepchildren Christopher Smith and Shaina Smith; one brother Grady “Lee” Lewis; sister Susan Ezernack; two brothers-in-laws Jeffrey Marr and wife Pamela and Markus Marr and wife Crystal. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in his memory to the children’s/youth ministry at First Baptist Church Mansfield 1710 McArthur Drive, Mansfield, LA 71052.

Funeral services honoring the life of Raye “Granny Raye” Gamble, 86, was at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Beulah Baptist Church in the Lula Community where Reverend David Permenter officiated. Burial followed in Beulah Cemetery. The family received friends at Rose- Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.Granny Raye was born April 16, 1929 in Mansfield to James and Pauline Morton and went to be with her Lord on August 8, 2015 in Mansfield. She was a graduate of Oak Grove High School which is now the Stanley High School. She retired from First National Bank at the age of 70. Granny Raye was a member of the Grand Cane Baptist Church. Granny Raye loved her church and family. She was known for her clean house, manicured yard, and cooking for others. Preceding Granny Raye in death were her husband Bronson Gamble; son James “Jimmy” Gamble; father James M.

Burial followed in the Highland Cemetery, Mansfield. The familyreceived friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 12:00 noon until time of service. Doris was born in Bienville Parish to Henry and Myrtle Corley Martin and passed away in Clute, TX. Preceding Doris in death were her husband Wiley Howell, Jr.; and great-great granddaughter Oliva Hurta. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son Wayne Edward Howell; daughterBarbara Toutcheque and husband Donald; sisters Leona Broussard and Mary Virginia Flowers; grandchildren Donald Lee Toutcheque and wife Tracy, Jeffery Adam Toutcheque and wife Jodi, Sidney Eugene Toutcheque and wife Kelly, and Larry Allen Toutcheque and wife Mauri; 14 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.

June Alice Scott Hodges born in Galveston, Texas on May 28, 1920, a resident of Shreveport since the mid  1940s, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015.She was predeceased by her husband, Watson Grady Hodges, Jr.;  parents, William Peter Scott andGrace Agatha Mallory; sisters:  Josephine Genevieve, Mary Helen, Lillian Grace, Mildred Veronica, and Frances Elizabeth; brothers: William, Wesley Preston, Richard Earl, and Jack Elliot; much beloved grandson, Ronald Lee Ennis, M.D., son-in-law,  Richard Lawrence, and  granddaughter Christie Bostwick. She is survived by her children, Marietta Hodges Jones and husband "Jack" in Grand Cane, LA; Watson Scott Hodges and wife Linda Owen Hodges in Shreveport; Rebecca Hodges Lawrence in Denham Springs, LA; grandchildren: Michael Ennis, William and Paul Lawrence, Meghan Bostwick and Morgan Hughes as well as numerous great grandchildren. Her father was an itinerant sign painter who traveled the Midwestern states seeking work.

Jerry Kenneth Mayes Graveside services for Jerry Kenneth Mayes, 61, formerly of Converse and Pelican, LA were held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Paul Cemetery in Converse with Karen Cook Harrington and Rev. Clayton Dyess leading a celebration of life. Jerry passed away on August 7, 2015 in his sleep in Natchez, LA. He was precededin death by his parents Annie Merle Mayes, Joseph Kenneth Mayes, son, Whitney Lane Mayes, and Brother, Benny Wayne Bossier. He is survived by two sons that called him, “Boss,” Jeremy Mayes and Corey Mayes; grandchildren, Caleb Wesley Mayes and Kayley Jo Mayes. One sister, Judy Mayes of Fort Worth, TX. In ieu of flowers, family asks memorials be made to Rose Neath Mansfield, LA
