Elder Primus Carroll III

Elder Primus Carroll III, entered into eternal rest peacefully at home on Sunday January 25, 2015. He was born on February 11, 1931 in Holly, La to the late Deacon Primus II and Lula Canaan Carroll. He was married to the late Lavern Carroll for 49 years. He confessed Christ at an early age at the St. Mark Baptist Church. He was the founder of Carroll Temple COGI. Family hour was held from 7-9pm Friday January 30, 2015 at Carroll Temple COGI. Service was held at Praise Temple full Gospel Baptist Cathedral 4725 Greenwood Rd. Shreveport, LA. Officiating Bishop  Roy L.H. Winbush/Pre late, Superintendent, Stephen Bradley. He leaves to cherish his memory (5) daughters Barbara Samules (Seborn), Judy Monroe (Franklin), Brenda Pier (Graylon), Dr. Velma Jean Carroll, and Michele Carroll; (3) Sons Elder Alfred Ray Carroll, Billy Carroll, and Ray Carroll

Interment followed at Highland Cemetery in Mansfield, LA. Visitation was on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Gerald was born on November 6, 1962 to his parents Clarence Pete Jones and Betty Jones Tanner. He is preceded in death by his father Clarence Jones; sister, Debra William; niece, Stephanie Williams; and great nephew, Seth Jones. Francis Aloysius Twomey

 
Francis Aloysius "Frank" Twomey, September 5, 1920- January 20, 2015, 94 years old, of  Miami passed away on 1/20/15. Born in Calverton Long Island, NY, he served in the USAF and was a graduate of Fordham Univ. Frank was predeceased by his wife,  Charlotte and is survived by his sister, Clare Torre and many nieces and nephews. He was buried with military honors. Burial was in Mansfield, LA on January 29, 2015 at Highland Cemetery. Contributions may be made in his memory to Medical Missionaries of Mary

Memorial services for Amy Francis Aloysius Twomey Michelle Hughes, 46, of Mansfield, LA were held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 30, 2015 at Foster Arbor Assembly of God Church in Castor, LA. Bro. Greg Patton officiated. Visitation was from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church on that Friday. Amy was born October 25, 1968 in Ringgold, LA and passed away at her residence in Mansfield, LA on January 27,  2015. She is preceded in death by her father, Roger Lee and a daughter, Stacey Hughes. Celebration of Life service for Mr. Joe Bond Schmidt, Jr., 85, was held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 26, 2015, in the Rose- Neath Southside Chapel with Dr. Greg Davis and Rev. Kathy Wafer officiating. Interment followed on the grounds of Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, LA. The family welcomed guests for visitation from 1:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM at Rose-Neath. Mr. Schmidt was born November 2, 1929, in Mansfield, LA, to the late Joe Bond and Eunice Frazar Schmidt, Sr. and was called home January 22, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mansfield until moving to Shreveport and joining Broadmoor United Methodist Church in 2002. Mr. Schmidt was a member of the Upper Room Sunday School Class. He graduated from Mansfield High School, attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana and Graduated from Pharmacy School at the University of Houston. Mr.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 26, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mansfield where Father Matthew Long officiated. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Zwolle. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA on Sunday, January 25, 2015 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM with a Rosary service at 6:00 PM. Josephine was born July 12, 1924 in Converse to Richard and Magalene Sepulvado and passed away on January 24, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mansfield. Preceding Josephine in death were her husband of 70 years Lenis Ebarb; parents Richard Sepulvado, Jr. and Magalene Sepulvado; son-in-law Earl Binning; grandson Bubba Ryan; brother Andrew Sepulvado; and sisters Rosie Bossier and Edna Keney.

Catherine is survived by sons,  Chris Stewart from Mansfield, Louisiana, Joseph Stewart fromHouston, Texas; sisters, Liz  Cooper from Joaquin, Texas, Martha Hollifeld from Shreveport, Louisiana; brother, T.J. Berry, Jr. from Joaquin, Texas; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
