Loy M. “Pappy” Free, Sr.

Funeral services honoring the life of Loy M. “Pappy” Free, Sr., 87, were held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 1, 2016 at Spring Ridge Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill with Reverends Marshall Ingle, Hoye Leach, Danny Forsythe and Logan  rock. Burial followed at Spring Ridge Cemetery. The family received friends at Spring Ridge Baptist Church on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 5:00 PM until time of the service. Pappy was born June 12, 1928 in Pleasant Hill to Frank and Lurline Blankenship Free and passed away March 27, 2016 in Shreveport, LA. He proudly served his country in the United States ARMY. Preceding Pappy in death were his parents; sisters Sadie Gates and Anice Free; brothers Bill, Alton, James, Tim, and Franklin Free; and a great grandson Landon Parks.

L.T. "Pee Wee" Harris

L.T. "Pee Wee" Harris, Jr., 62, of Mansfield, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 following a brief illness. Pee Wee was preceded in death by his father, L.T. Harris, Sr., and both his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Margaret P. Williams and stepfather, E.H. Williams, of Alabama; and step-mother, Jean Harris McElroy of Louisiana. Children, Todd Jason Harris (Lisa); Tricia Higginbotham (Jeremy); all of Alabama; Richard Chase Harris (Melissa); Ashleigh Harris Roberts (William); Lyndsi Brooke Harris; all of Louisiana; and Whitney Danielle Harris of Texas. Brothers, David Raborn (Nancy) of North Carolina; Mike Harris (Eunice); Shane Harris (Tammy); and Mike Cooke; all of Louisiana; Sisters, Debbie Harris (Delbert Rains); Vicki Stoma (Gilbert); Debbie Collier (Bruce); all of Louisiana; and Missy Williams of Alabama.

Lou Ellen Ramie

Funeral services honoring the life of Lou Ellen Ramie, 81, was at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA with Reverend Skip Noble, and Larry Pridmore officiated. Burial followed at Lee Cemetery, in Catuna, LA. The family received friends at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM. Lou was born on October 15, 1934 in Boliver, LA to Preston and Bessie Barron, and died on March 28, 2016 in Mansfield, LA. Lou was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and working in her garden. Lou was known for being an excellent seamstress. Lou was a Substitute teacher in DeSoto Parish and Nursery worker at Southside Baptist Church. Those left behind to cherish her memory is her husband W.C.

Funeral services honoring the life of Pearlie Bailey Jones Brown, 97, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday April 9, 2016 at New Elizabeth Baptist Church, Hwy 175 North of Mansfield where Rev. Cornelius Bass officiated. The family will receive friends Friday, April 8, 2016 at New Elizabeth Baptist Church from 6 PM to 7 PM. Pearlie was born December 26, 1918 in Mansfield, Louisiana and died on April 1, 2016 in Mansfield, LA. She was a member of the New Elizabeth Baptist Church. Pearlie is preceded in death by her parents: Hiley & Birdia Sudds Bailey, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons: Lonce, James and DeAndrew Jones; her daughters: Earnestine Hamilton, Rubinstean Jones, Linda Mosley; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws; relatives and friends.

Troy was born on May 20, 1942 in Converse, La to Pat and Aline Marshall Parker and passed away on March 31, 2016 in Mansfield, La. Preceding Troy in death is his father, Pat Parker; mother, Aline English Marshall Parker; and step-father, Rufus Marshall, and his sister Ann Parker Shelton.
