Funeral services honoring the life of William Doyle Cobbs, 75, were at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield burial followed at Belmont Cemetery in Belmont, Louisiana. Officiating was Reverend Glynn Howard. Thefamily received friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Doyle was born on May 19, 1940 to his parents Larry and Edith Cobbs. Preceding Doyle in death are his parents Larry and Edith Cobbs. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 54 years Freddie Nesom Cobbs; sister, Dorothy Cobbs Renfrow; nieces, Pamela Neal, Paula Marshall, Melanie Patman, Sue Ebarb, Lyna Armstrong; nephews, Wade Nesom, Scott Carmical; great nieces, Rachel, Amanda, Kayla, Liz; great nephews, Hayden, Justin, Matthew, Thomas, Dakota, Colton, Marshall, Ricky; and great great niece, Olivia.

She received B.A. andB.S. degrees from Texas State College for Women; a M.S. degreefrom Louisiana State University; and did post graduate work atLeland Stanford University, where she was a doctoral candidate inHealth Education and a teaching assistant in corrective physicaleducation classes. She taught one year at Northwestern State Collegeand for five years at Louisiana State University.

Robert was born November 26, 1959 in Canandaigua, NY to Robert Eugene and Ora Elizabeth Chrysler and died July 8, 2015 in Mansfield. Preceding Robert in death was his father Robert Eugene Chrysler. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother Ora Elizabeth McLemore Stacey; brothers James K. Chrysler and wife Arlene and Eugene A. Chrysler; aunt Barbara Macalusa; and a number of cousins.

CarsonLaCaze will officiate at all services.A favorite nephew, Preston Bates, willdeliver the Eulogy. Pallbearers will be Jackie Hilton, Doug “Slo” Smith, James Foshee, JimEdwards, Quint Gillespie and Gerald Laffitte. Honorary Pallbearers includeRichard Z. Johnson and Doug Young. Alice fought a hard fight with health issues these past few years but justkept going with her zest for life and love for her family. She left for herspiritual home on June 17, 2015.

She served many years with theDepartment of Defense at Barksdale Air Force Base and then inWashington D.C. for the Navel Department of Defense.

Amador Santos officiating. Interment followed at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Fort Polk, Louisiana. Pallbearers were Military Honors. Mr. Vest is survived by his wife Margie W. Vest of DeRidder, Louisiana; one son, Steven Lee Vest of DeRidder, Louisiana; two daughters: Christine Vest of Virginia and Nicole Vest of Germany; one brother, Donald Cherico of Waynesville, Missouri; one sister, Kathy Lessard and husband Mario of Waynesville, Missouri; extended family: Lillie Beth Horton, Bennie Gibson and Lonnie Jackson, Frank Gibson, Huey Horton and Sandra Melton, Prentice and Judy Horton, Sherry Algiere, Dell and Tom Gribble; lifelong friends: Theo Decker, Gaynell May, and Charlie Smith; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
