Funeral services honoring the life of Leslie Erin Eason Norvell, 37, was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield, LA with Minister Fred Jones and Gary Evans officiating. Burial followed at Pollard Cemetery in Mansfield, LA. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA on Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Leslie was born July 29, 1981 in Shreveport, LA and entered into rest on February 5, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, John Terrel Eason; paternal grandparents, Johnie and Joyce Johniken Eason; and maternal grandparents, W. Colvin and Mary Garrett Boyt.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are mother and step-father, Sherri and Buford Rascoe of Converse, LA and son Caleb Matthew Eason Crawford of Bossier City, LA.

Doris Elizabeth Dowden Bello, 93, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 due to a long well lived life. Doris was born on December 24, 1925 to Alton and Stella Dowden. She graduated from Hornbeck High School and attended Draughn’s Business College in Houston, Texas.

Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louise F. Bello; parents, Alton and Stella Dowden, three brothers, Marlin, Billie and Charles and sister, Maura Jane Dowden. She is survived by one brother, Ronald L. Dowden Sr. of Newnan, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews, Deborah Dees, Gerald Dowden, Douglas Dowden, J. Michael Dowden, Suzanne Dilsaver, Jana Johns, Pamela G. Snyder, Ronald L. Dowden Jr., Donna Sue Smith and Joseph Dowden.

Henry was born April 3, 1938 in Mansfield, LA to Charlie and Cora Woods Jackson and entered into rest on January 26, 2019, in Shreveport, LA. He retired after 41 years of service from the Mansfield Fire Department serving 6 years prior to his retirement in 2004 as fire chief.

WORD “HOLLEY” WELLS

Word “Holley” Wells, 87, of Baytown, Texas, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019, at his residence.

Holley was born October 25, 1931 in Longstreet, Louisiana and has resided in Baytown over the past 60 years. He was a graduate of Longstreet High School and attended Louisiana Tech. He was a former private school teacher of math and physical education, and an operator and shift foreman for Arco Chemical Company. He was an active member at Cedar Bayou Grace Methodist Church, Kiwanis Club, President of the Longstreet Memorial Cemetery Association. He was Secretary Treasurer of the Baytown Men’s Bowling Association for over 50 years. He was the first and only member of the Baytown USBC Association Hall of Fame. He served as a proud President of the Sterling Ranger Booster Club for almost 10 years. He enjoyed bowling, working cattle, sports and spending time with family. HE WAS THE GREATEST PAPAW IN THE WORLD.

Homegoing Celebration for Felton Turner Jr., 60, will be Sunday, January 20th, 1:30 P.M at the Friendship Baptist Church, 1556 Blunt Mill Road, Grand Cane, Louisiana with Pastor Stanley Blackshire officiating. Interment will follow service at the Friendship Cemetery in Grand Cane.

Mr. Turner departed this life on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at his home in Houston, Texas.

Felton was an avid sportsman and lover of music who lived out his passion as a DJ.

He was a resident of Houston Texas for over 37 years. Mr. Turner was a native of Mansfield Louisiana and a 1976 graduate of Mansfield High School as well as a 1981 graduate of Southern University, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. He was employed for over 36 years in the oil and gas industry, where he retired as a Financial Analyst/Accountant.
