Graveside service honoring the life of Crystal Diane Pirtle-Singletary were held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Old Pisgah Cemetery in Belmont, Louisiana with Reverend Tommy Lewis officiating. Family received friends for visitation at the funeral home on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Crystal was born on April 19, 1970 in Pasadena, Texas to Jerry David Pirtle and Francis Kay Nisbet-Pirtle. She entered into rest on July 22, 2019 in Frierson, Louisiana with her husband and her “mom” Donna Windham Patterson by her side who she loved dearly.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Brad Singletary; son, Justin Dwain Mitchell; sister, Ronda Kay Jacobs and brother, David Pirtle.

Pallbearers will be Hayden McKenzie, Ricky McKenzie, B.J. Coker, Steve Turney, Rod Singletary, Cody Lewis.

Funeral service for Thomas Calvin “Cooter” Welborn were held at Southside Baptist Church in Mansfield, Louisiana on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Larry Pridmore officiating. Family received friends for visitation at the church on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial was held at Pelican Cemetery.

Thomas was born on November 4, 1933 in Pelican, Louisiana to Roy Waymon Welborn and Sybil Hight-Welborn. He entered into rest on July 26, 2019 in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Mr. Welborn honorably served in the United States Army for two years and was a Korean War Veteran. He retired as owner/operator of his landscaping business.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Maryann Baker-Welborn.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his brother, Roy Welborn and wife Marie and sister, LaJuana Shirley.

James Lee Garrett Sr., age 72, of Stonewall, Louisiana, died Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

Mr. Garrett was born May 10, 1947 in Nampa, Idaho. He was retired from Hulcher Emergency Railroad Services, member of the Champions for God Cowboy Church, Gloster, La and was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association Shreveport Believers # 315.

He is preceded in death by his father William Enix Garrett, mother Alma Marie Garrett, brothers John Wayne Garrett and Michael Ray Garrett, wife Phyllis Angelina Garrett and by one daughter, Joann Marie Garrett.

Funeral service for Janet Belrose will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Rose-Neath Logansport Chapel in Logansport, LA. Officiating the service will be Reverend Joe Walker. Burial will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery in Logansport, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.

Janet was born February 29, 1952 in Logansport, LA to Dowiling Boyd and Birdie Phillips Boyd and passed away on June 28, 2019. Janet was preceded in death by her spouse, Austin Belrose; parents; and brothers, Ronnie and Jimmy Boyd.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Tim Belrose; sister, Beverly Grimsley; and grandchild, Dustin Belrose and wife, Miya.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Belrose will be Brent Risinger, Robert Ortigo Jr., Brent Coleman, Durwood Dixon, Parker Moseley, and Luke Elliott.

Edna Thornton was born September 7, 1936 in Oil City, Louisiana and passed away with her family at her side on Tuesday morning July 2, 2019. Her parents Roy and Ola Mae Thornton, Brother Felix Thornton and nephew David Thornton were waiting in heaven for her return. She will be laid to rest next to her parents in Vivian, Louisiana. Visitation will be Friday, July 5, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home – Mansfielda, Louisiana 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Service at Rose-Neath Funeral Home - Mansfield, Louisiana 1:00 p.m. Burial at Vivian Cemetery – West Tennessee Avenue, Vivian, Louisiana 4:00 p.m.

Funeral services for Doris Gay Hill were 2:00 Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Rose-Neath Logansport Chapel in Logansport, Louisiana with Jared Berryman and David Berryman officiating. Burial followed at Bethel Cemetery in Logansport, LA. Family received friends for visitation on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services for Bonnie G. Goodman, 69, were held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA. Officiating the service was Rev. Michael McConnaughey. Burial followed at Highland Cemetery in Mansfield, LA. Visitation was at the funeral home on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.

Bonnie was born January 7, 1950 in Mansfield, LA to Price Hewitt Gallaspy and Marie Weeks and passed away on June 19, 2019 in Shreveport, LA.

Funeral services for Thomas Maurice Litton, Jr. were held at Antioch Baptist Church in Mansfield, LA on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Bob Latham officiating. Burial followed at Allen Cemetery in Mansfield, Louisiana. Family received friends at the church for visitation on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Thomas was born January 1, 1952 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Thomas Maurice Litton, Sr. and Mallie Ruth Richey. He entered into rest on June 22, 2019 in Mansfield, Louisiana. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Evans Litton; son, Jonathan Richard Litton, Sr.; his parents; and sisters, Wanda Slay and Sherry Lewis.

Services celebrating the life of Wanda Sue Huey Deas, age 70, were held at 10am on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Roseneath Funeral Home, Mansfield, La. Officiating was Rev. Weyland Gauntt and Rev. Bob Latham. The family received friends for visitation on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 5pm - 7pm at Roseneath Funeral Home Mansfield, La.

Wanda was born September 27, 1948 in Logansport, La and entered into rest, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, June 21, 2019 in Mansfield, La.

She was preceded in death by her parents L.U. and Doris Huey, daughter Sonya Shaw, sister Sissy Kelly, brother Marvin Huey, brother-in-law Don Stephens and step-son Andy Chauvin.
