Funeral services for Jimmie Rodney Cobb were held at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Mansfield, Louisiana on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Margaret Ayer officiating.

Family received friends for visitation in the parish hall on Wednesday beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment was held at Highland Cemetery in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Rodney was born on January 6, 1947 in Mansfield, Louisiana to Emmett Hugh Cobb & Dorothy Jewell Pickett Cobb. He entered into rest on November 17, 2019 at his home in Mansfield surrounded by his family. He was a graduate of Mansfield High School and served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from the Mansfield Postal Service after working there for 40 years. Rodney was most proud to own a cattle ranch with his son Rodney and was at his happiest watching over the herd and tending to the daily chores at the farm.

Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Juanita Everitt were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA with Bro. Joe Waggener officiating. Family received friends for visitation at the chapel on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment was held at Grand Cane Cemetery.

Juanita was born on March 19, 1930 in Hamburg, Arkansas to Willie and Edna Carpenter. She entered into rest on November 16, 2019 in Mansfield, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John L. Everitt; brother, William McDuffee.

Left to cherish her memory is her stepson, George Robert Everitt; brothers, Richard McDuffee and Glenn Carpenter; grandson, John Everitt; nieces, Rebekah Maxey and Sheba Moseley, and family of First Baptist Church Mansfield.

Honoring Mrs. Everitt as pallbearers were Ted Brasher, Randy Pearson, Raymond Stewart, Bryan Norwood, Huel Jones and B.J. Bossier.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Wadkins were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA with Bro. Larry Pridmore officiating. Family received friends for visitation at the chapel on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Interment was held at Mansfield Cemetery.

Ann was born on October 13, 1947 in Powhatan, Louisiana to Frank and Anna Perot. She entered into rest on November 17, 2019 in Mansfield, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Travis Wadkins.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Kim Lee and husband Michael of Mansfield, LA; sister, Ivory Christianson of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Shelbi and Kara Lee of Mansfield, LA; sister-in-law, Eudie Wadkins and special cousin, Lacy Averitt of Carmel, LA.

Serving Ann as pallbearers were D.J. LaFleur, Jonathan Wadkins, Keith Tyson, Bobby Windham, Thomas Tuck and Blaine Hodges.

A funeral Mass honoring the life of Henry Prudhome was held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church Mansfield at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. John Paul Crispin  

Family received friends for visitation at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Mansfield, La, November 15, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment was at Highland Cemetery.

Henry was born on January 2, 1935 in Rambin, La to Octave & Minnie Lyles Prudhome and entered into rest on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in Shreveport, LA.

Henry’s family was the most important to him as he was always involved in his son’s extracurricular activities. He loved working outdoors in his garden, with his cows or just tinkering with something that didn’t run just right but more importantly he was a friend that you could trust for a lending hand.

Memorial services for Mr. Calvin Charles Farris were held at 5:00 p.m. on November 15, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mansfield, LA with Father John Paul Crispin officiating.

Calvin was born on August 28, 1938 in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana to Gary Farris and Izora Laffitte. He entered into rest on November 12, 2019 in Mansfield, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Curtis Farris and sister, Ruby.

Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Geneva Farris; sons, Eddie Farris & wife Sharon, Richard Farris & wife Melissa, Thomas Farris and Norman Farris; grandchildren, Robbie & wife Wendy, Jacob & Oreatta, Lindsaye, Candice, Kyle, Aaron, Taylor, Hannah, Christopher, Colby, Austin, Nevaeh & Raylyn; great-grandchildren, Trey, Jeffrey, Izabella, Adleigh, Jake, Bryson, Kylan, Lia and Cash.

Funeral services for Reverend Robert C. Miller were held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Permenter and Rev. Lee Dixon officiating. Family received friends for visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Interment was held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse, LA.

Robert was born on December 21, 1932 in Negreet, Louisiana to Rev. Versie Robert Miller and Florie Sibley Miller. He entered into rest on Friday, November 8, 2019 in Sherman, Texas.

Rev. Miller was a minister for over 45 years and pastored churches in Aimwell, Benson and Mansfield, Louisiana. He worked over 40 years at Community Bank and was on the Board of Directors at the time of his death. His favorite hobby was spending time with his grandchildren. He graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1952 and graduated from Louisiana College in Pineville with a BA in History and Religious Education.

On November 6, 2019, Robert Clarence Bissett, passed away at the age of 78. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, brother, and cousin. Bob was born in Ballinger, Texas on July 7, 1941, to Derward Cleo Bissett and Eula May Clark Bissett. Bob was a banker for many years. He enjoyed piddling around in his workshop and fishing. He also enjoyed hunting in Texas.

Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Bissett, daughter, Denise Guilbeaux, sister, Brenda Bissett Fleetwood, grandson, Michael Jacob Guilbeaux (Rebecca), and great-granddaughters, Hannah Ann Guilbeaux and Ella Claire Guilbeaux, and cousins, Chris and Linda Bissett, and Randy and Mary Ruth Curtis. The love of his life was Opie, his precious dog who stayed by his side through his illness.

Memorial services honoring the life of Steffany Sewell Martin will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Southside Baptist Church in Mansfield, LA with Rev. Frankie Mathis officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the church.

Steffany was born December 31, 1980 in Shreveport, LA and entered rest on November 10, 2019 in Mansfield, LA. She was the daughter of Ricky Charles Sewell and Cheri Kay Springer Sewell. Steffany was employed at DeSoto Regional Health System as a Registered Nurse in the ER.

She is preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents, Margaret Ann Springer and Lennis B. Springer; Paternal Grandparents, Wesley Sewell and Evelyn Sewell VanArsdel; Father-In-Law, Melvin Lynn Martin, Sr.

Marcella Virginia "Chena" Rambin Robbins passed away at 11:10 pm on Friday November 1, 2019, All Saints Day. She was born September 26, 1929 to Amos and Lucille Rambin. She was one of 11 siblings raised during the Great Depression and WWII, events that shaped her as well as our great country.

Her parents taught her that unwavering faith, unconditional love and unfailing hope would take her through all seasons of life and Chena was the perfect example of these virtues to not only her parents and siblings, husband of 56 years Marvin Robbins, and their 10 children, 21 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren, but also to innumerable aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Everyone who ever met Chena found in her a wellspring of love, comfort, and acceptance, regardless of race, creed or economic status. She once said, "This family never throws anyone away. We keep each other...always".

A memorial service for Lita Karen “Cookie” Creech Thompson was held at the First Baptist Church of Logansport, LA on Thursday, November 7, 2019, with visitation held prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Karen, lovingly known throughout her life as “Cookie”, was born in Logansport, LA on August 17, 1949 to parents Lloyd “Shug” Creech and Betty VanCleave Creech. She died peacefully at home in Center, TX on November 3, 2019.

She is survived by her son, Charlie B. Thompson of New Orleans, LA; brothers Billy Creech of Logansport, LA and Sam Creech and husband Michael “Niko” Corolla of Irving, Texas, along with several sister-in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Cookie is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Thompson, her parents, Lloyd “Shug” and Betty VanCleave Creech, and brother, Danny Creech.
