KENNETH SALLEY

Funeral services honoring the life of Kenneth Salley, 79, of Grand Cane, Louisiana was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating at the service was Pastor Justin Haigler. A visitation preceded the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., with interment following the service at Smyrna Cemetery in Grand Cane, Louisiana.

Kenneth was born on April 4, 1942 in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana to Carl and Helen Walker Salley. He entered into eternal rest on May 6, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He ran a successful steel fabrication company in Keithville, Louisiana for 35 years. He was a successful cattleman, was a crossword puzzle connoisseur, and dabbled in many other projects and hobbies throughout his life. He loved sweet tea and Hershey’s kisses with a passion.

Preceding Kenneth in death are his parents; his brother, M.C. Manasco; and his granddaughter, Kandi Cummins.

A visitation will be held at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Logansport, Louisiana on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Funeral services honoring her life will followed at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021, also at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Officiating the service was Rev. Charles Hall. Interment followed the service at Cool Springs Cemetery in Logansport, Louisiana.

Vadere was born on July 21, 1916 in Logansport, Louisiana to Duffy Allen Johnson and Connie Alma Horn Johnson.

Preceding Vadere in death were her brother and sister.

Funeral services honoring her life were held at Beulah Baptist Church 3417 Hwy 481 in Mansfield, LA on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation was held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel 943 Polk St Mansfield, LA from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, 2021. Officiating over the service was Rev. David Permenter. Interment followed the service at Union Springs Cemetery in Converse, LA.

Carolyn Henderson Evans of Logansport, Louisiana passed away April 18, 2021 at the age of 74. Funeral Services honoring her life were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Logansport, Louisiana. Officiating the service was Rev. Charles Hall and Rev. Shawn Thrapp. A visitation was held at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Logansport, Louisiana.

Carolyn was born in Mansfield, Louisiana on February 2, 1947 to Fred Newton Henderson and Terion Murline Bounds Henderson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Logansport, Louisiana. She was a member of organizations like the Lions Club and Ladies Auxiliary Fire Department. She retired from DeSoto Parish School System after working there for 22 and a half years. In her spare time Carolyn loved to crochet and spend time with her dogs.

Jeffery Lane Wells was born on February 14, 1959 in Lone Star, Texas to Oscar Ray and Audrey Carroll Wells. He entered in eternal rest on March 30, 2021, in Mansfield, Louisiana after a hard-fought battle of a terminal illness. There will be a Celebration of Life ceremony for Jeffery wells on April 17,2021 at 2:00pm at Rock Chapel, 1746 Smithport Lake Road, Carmel, Louisiana. Gathering of family, extended family and beloved friends will follow on the grounds at Immaculate Conception Church. Officiating the service will be Father John Paul Crispin.

Elizabeth Allene Foreman Lott was born on June 24, 1927 in Logansport, Louisiana and passed away on March 9, 2021 at the Heritage Manor West Nursing Home in Shreveport, Louisiana of congestive heart failure

She is preceded in death by her father Willie Foreman and mother Mary Ellen Williams Foreman. Also preceding her in death are her siblings Lois, Edward, Bill, Gertrude, Sadie-Marie and Buck.

Her WWII veteran husband S. D. Lott died in May of 2003 and her only son, Robert Charles Lott, passed away February 14, 2021. Also, her granddaughter Trudee Ann Lott Alaniz passed away in January 2019.

Bendell Purnell “Jack” Justice was born February 6, 1928 in Monroe, Louisiana to David and Mattie Justice. He was delivered by doctors Bendell and Purnell and was named after them by his mother, but everyone always called him Jack. He was raised in Bastrop, Louisiana.

Jack got his love of football from playing in high school for the Bastrop Rams. He was a member of the undefeated squad that won the State Championship. He was very proud of his service in the United States Army from 1950-1952.

Jack was a Watchmaker and Jeweler. He came to Mansfield, Louisiana in 1959 to work at Stotts Jewelry. He later opened his own popular watch and jewelry store, which was very popular. He was very well loved by all. He raised his family in Mansfield and continued to work there until 2019.

Jon Warren Clemons, Jr. of Mansfield, Louisiana passed away March 26, 2021 at the age of 87. Graveside Services honoring his life were held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Highland Cemetery in Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service were Rev. Barry Joyner and Rev. Bob Latham. A visitation was held at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2021 at Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel in Mansfield, Louisiana.

He was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana on May 23, 1933 to Jon Warren, Sr. and Priscilla Wallace Clemons. He grew up in Natchitoches where he was a four-sport letterman in high school. He excelled in football, basketball, baseball, and track. Even though dementia had taken most of his memory, he could still recall his football plays from high school.
