ANN ELEANOR MINDER WEEKS 9/26/28 –11/4/22 Funeral services for Ann Eleanor Weeks will be held at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church on Saturday, November 12, with visitation at 11:00 a.m., followed by the memorial service. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church cemetery. Rev. David Permenter and Rev. Richard Tull will officiate.

Ann passed away on September 4, 2022 at Mansfield Nursing Center where she had lived for the past two year. She was born September 26, 1928 after her family had immigrated to America. Her Romanian parents were Louis and Floarea Minder. She was the baby of the family with 9 older siblings, and was born in the United States. She was very proud to be an American, but was also equally proud of her Romanian heritage. She was retired from DeSoto Regional Hospital’s Administration.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Allen Weeks, her parents, eight siblings, and grandson Dustin Chance Weeks.

SARAH LORINE HEMPHILL HARPER 10/10/64- 11/02/22 Funeral services for Sarah Lorine Hemphill Harper, age 58, of Converse, LA, were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5th 2022 at Henrietta CM Church. Officiating at the service were Rev. Charles Clark and Rev. Dick Enterkin. Visitation was held on Friday, November 4th, from 6:00 pm to 9pm.

Burial followed in Union Springs Cemetery under the direction of Roseneath funeral home. Graveside services were conducted by Rev. Charles Clark and Rev. Dick Enterkin.

Sarah passed on Nov 2nd, 2022 at her home following a lengthy illness.

Sarah was a homemaker and a member of Henrietta CM Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

CHARLES ARMOUR BURFORD 1/27/51 – 10/25/22 Charles Armour Burford was born on January 27, 1951, to Virginia Armour Burford and John Franklin “Frank” Burford. He went to be with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the age of 71. Visitation was held Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. The funeral service was held Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Gloster Baptist Church in Gloster, Louisiana with burial at the Keachi Cemetery. The service was officiated by Dr. Ron McLellan assisted by Rev. Crawford Williams.

ROE 12/01/43 - 10/27/22 A graveside service for Ronnie Tilford Roe will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana with full military honors. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana.

Ronnie was born December 1, 1943, in Paris, Kentucky. He was greeted by his Mom and 2-year-old sister while his father was serving in WWII (his father had been home on leave 9 months earlier).

After his Daddy returned, the family moved onto a tobacco farm where Ronnie and his Daddy worked together until Ronnie joined the Air Force, after graduating from high school in 1961.

As an Airman 2nd class serving in the Philippines, Ronnie had top secret clearance which makes everyone that knew him later laugh because he could not keep a secret.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Eileen Nugent will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, in Mansfield, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Grand Cane Cemetery in Grand Cane, Louisiana. Rev. David Permenter will be officiating the service. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2022, and

Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Eileen was born December 2, 1949, to Floyd and Myrtle Britt House in Shreveport, Louisiana. She peacefully entered into rest at her home on October 28, 2022.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Larry Nugent; sons, Curtis Ray Cannon, Jr., and wife, Caroline, James Edward Cannon, and wife, Kristina; daughters, Debra Renee Dominguez and husband, Ezequiel, Margo Vanessa Cooke, and husband Todd; eight grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

 Funeral services celebrating the life of Mildred Hildebrand Edwards were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Chapel, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana. Burial followed at Noble Cemetery, Noble, Louisiana. Officiating the service were Rev. Tommy McMellon and Rev. Frosty Neal. The family received family and friends for visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Mildred was born April 4, 1923, in Many, Louisiana to Louis Gady Hildebrand and Minnie Pearl Dees Hildebrand. She entered into rest on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, in Dallas, Texas. Mildred graduated from Many High School in 1940 and completed two years at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She married Don Edwards on November 23, 1955, in Noble, Louisiana.

Herman was born June 23, 1949, in Mansfield, Louisiana to Marie and Herman W. Lawson. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 3, 2022, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Officiating were Rev. Dale Gannon and Rev. Vernice Curry Green. Interment will follow the service located at Bethel Cemetery in Logansport, Louisiana. Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Steve was born on August 30, 1943, in Logansport, Louisiana to Solon and Ruby Whitten Curry. He entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2022, in Many, Louisiana. Steve served in the US Army as an SP4 (T). He retired in 2005 from the DeSoto Parish School Board as a Janitorial Supervisor. Steve loved football, especially the Logansport and LSU Tigers, and riding motorcycles with his friends. Steve will be remembered as a great father and provider to his four boys. Also, his love for his brothers and sisters.
