The Many Bass Club held its first tournament of 2025 on February 8 and 9. The anglers could choose to fish either Saturday or Sunday and the bite was good on both days. Sixteen anglers fished the tournament, and twelve of them landed five-fish limits! The week’s weather preceding the tournament was unseasonably warm and the water temperature was in the mid to upper sixties moving many fish shallow or close to spawning pockets. Saturday was breezy with southerly wind which shifted to the north Sunday due to an approaching cold front.

The Mansfield High School Lady Wolverines and Wolverines battled the visiting Many Lady Tigers and Tigers in basketball action on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in the Mansfield High School Gymnasium. This was the last district game for the season and the home teams won both of their games. Lady Wolverines 35, Lady Tigers 26; Wolverines 65, Tigers 62. The win for the Lady Wolverines sealed their position as District Champs for 3-2A.

The Mansfield High School Lady Wolverines and Wolverines hosted the Lady Warriors and Warriors from Lakeside High School on Tuesday, February 4, 2024. The home teams were victorious in both games. Lady Wolverines 45, Lady Warriors 17. Wolverines 63, Warriors 39. One of the highlights of the evening was the Mini Silverbelles who performed at halftime.

The Lady Wolverines and Wolverines of Mansfield High School hosted the Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs from Red River High School on Monday, January 27, 2025. The fans in the packed MHS gymnasium were not disappointed by the high school basketball action that took place. The Lady Wolverines defeated the Lady Bulldogs 42 - 28. The young men from Mansfield could not overcome the #1 ranked Bulldogs; the final score was Red River 79, Mansfield 62.

The Many Bass Club held its first tournament of 2025 on January 11 and 12. The anglers could choose to fish either Saturday or Sunday. Twelve anglers fished the tournament, and only three of them landed five-fish limits. Saturday’s weather was cold and breezy, with northwest winds at eight to ten mph and air temps starting in the mid-thirties, warming to the low fifties. Sunday was overcast with lows in the forties and highs near fifty with scattered, light rain. The top stringer was caught on Saturday, and the second and third place stringers were caught on Sunday. The bite proved to be tough and big fish were scarce after the frigid weather which preceded the tournament.
