The Lady Wolverines and Wolverines began district games on Tuesday, January 15, in the Wolverine Gymnasium. The Lady Wolverines soundly defeated the Winnfield Lady Tigers 53-21, and the Wolverines defeated the Winnfield Tigers in a nail-biter! 47-46!

After taking care of Woodlawn last week, the Griffins were one step closer to their goal of making it back to the Dome. The competition stiffened up with Belle Chasse in round two.

Belle Chasse received the ball. They put together a long opening driving, taking almost 6 minutes off the clock but punted. The Griffins worked quick. In less than two minutes, Miller Warren got first down then a few runs from Kenny Thomas before he broke through and took it all the way to endzone. It was 7-0 with 4:10 left. Belle Chasse got a forty yard run to get them to the red zone. The Defense brought up fourth down. Belle Chasse lined up to kick a field goal to end the quarter.

The annual DeSoto Parish Jamboree was held Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the North DeSoto High School Gymnasium. Game 1: LHS Lady Tigers 13, ND Lady Griffins 6 Game 2: MHS Lady Wolverines 20, LHS Lady Tigers 15 Game 3: MHS Lady Wolverines 12, ND Lady Griffins 11 Game 4: MHS Wolverines 32, LHS Tigers 20

The Mansfield High School Wolverine Football Team traveled to Oak Grove Friday, November 22, to face the Oak Grove Tigers – a team ranked number 3 in the state for LHSAA Non-Select Division III. The Wolverines, coming in as the underdogs with a 14th place ranking, knew that a cold, tough battle was waiting for them.

Welcome back Tiger fans! This week kicks off the start of playoffs, Logansport is ranked at #6. This week Logansport faced the Varnado Wildcats. To get things started first things first, coin toss. Tigers win the toss and chose to defer to the second half; this allows the Tiger defense on the field first. Logansport starts the game holding the Wildcats strongly, it isn’t long until the Tigers have the ball, 1st down at the 31-yard line. #9 Bland with the carry, gaining a few yards. #1 Carter with the touchdown, and the extra point by #92 Espinoza is good! Tigers’ kickoff the ball, landing at the 25-yard line. 2nd down and #11 Martin and #0 Wilson with the tackle, no gain for the Wildcats. 3rd down #0 Wilson with the tackle, and it’s a loss of yards. Wildcats are on 4th down, #24 and #52 Perkins with the tackle, forcing the ball over on downs. Tigers get the 1st down at the 47-yard line. The pass to #11 Martin is good and he stops at the 34-yard line.
