Funeral services honoring the life of Pearlie Bailey Jones Brown, 97, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday April 9, 2016 at New Elizabeth Baptist Church, Hwy 175 North of Mansfield where Rev. Cornelius Bass officiated. The family will receive friends Friday, April 8, 2016 at New Elizabeth Baptist Church from 6 PM to 7 PM. Pearlie was born December 26, 1918 in Mansfield, Louisiana and died on April 1, 2016 in Mansfield, LA. She was a member of the New Elizabeth Baptist Church. Pearlie is preceded in death by her parents: Hiley & Birdia Sudds Bailey, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons: Lonce, James and DeAndrew Jones; her daughters: Earnestine Hamilton, Rubinstean Jones, Linda Mosley; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws; relatives and friends.

Funeral services honoring the life of Troy Parker, 73, was at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, La. Burial followed at Beulah Cemetery in Mansfield, LA. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Troy was born on May 20, 1942 in Converse, La to Pat and Aline Marshall Parker and passed away on March 31, 2016 in Mansfield, La. Preceding Troy in death is his father, Pat Parker; mother, Aline English Marshall Parker; and step-father, Rufus Marshall, and his sister Ann Parker Shelton.

Alfred Roy “Jack” Jones

Alfred Roy “Jack” Jones, 78, died February 6 at his home in the Woodsprings Community. He had suffered massive infections from three back surgeries, complicated by Multiple Myeloma. He was predeceased by his parents, Elroy and Mildred Jones, much beloved son, Ronald Lee Ennis, M.D., Brother-in-Law, Richard Lawrence, precious feline, “Bob”, and equine, “Shahz”. He is survived by his wife, Marietta Hodges, son, Michael Duane Ennis and wife Melody, Brotherin- Law, Watson Scott Hodges and wife Linda, Sister-in-Law, Rebecca Lawrence, grandchildren; Loren, Haley, Maxwell and Sarah. Jack was a Master Carpenter by trade. At the time of his retirement, he was the Apprenticeship Training Director for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners. An avid aviation “buff” in his younger days, he held Commercial Pilot and Instrument Pilot ratings.

Funeral Services were held at Rosewood Funeral Home in Victoria, Texas on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM for Maxine Creech Valentine, age 85, who passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living in Victoria Texas. Visitation for family and friends began at 1:00 PM. Services were performed by Pastor Larry Green, Chaplain for Hospice of South Texas. Internment was at O.E. Price Cemetery on Noon, Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in Logansport, Louisiana, and were presided over by Pastor Timothy Roberson of First Baptist Church of Logansport. Maxine was born in Logansport, Louisiana on December 15, 1930. She was the 7th and youngest child of Rube Creech and Bernice Barfield Creech. Maxine grew up in Logansport and graduated from Logansport High School. This is where she met her High School sweetheart and future husband Aubrey Valentine. They were married on July 3rd, 1952 at the First Baptist Church of Logansport. Maxine is a graduate of Stephen F.
