Funeral services honoring the life of J.W. Spraggins, 84, were at 12:00 PM Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA where Reverend Richard Tull officiated. Burial followed at Reeves Cemetery in Logan, TX. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 10:00 AM till time of service. J.W. was born on February 14, 1932 in Logansport, LA to Willie and Dosha Spraggins and passed away on April 21, 2016 in Bossier City, LA. Preceding J.W. in death are his parents Willie Robert Spraggins and Dosha Mae Furlow Spraggins. Those left behind to cherish his memory is his sons, Charles F. Spraggins from Plain Dealing, LA, George M. Spraggins and wife Traci from Shreveport, LA, Robert F. Funeral services honoring the life of Clomar Louis Burr, Sr., 75, were at 10:00 AM Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA where Reverend Larry Wilson officiated. Burial followed at Lee Cemetery in Catuna, LA. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 6:00 till 9:00 PM. Clomar was born on May 22, 1940 in Mansfield, LA to Garthel and Ruth Burr and passed away on April 28, 2016 in Shreveport, LA. Preceding Clomar in death is his mother Ruth Burr and son Jason Warner Burr. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Eaddie May Burr from Ringgold, LA; father, Garthel Burr from Catuna, LA; sons, Clomar L. Burr and wife Sheila from Cassville, MO, Wayne Burr and wife Dee from Catuna, LA; daughter-in-law, Karen Burr from Catuna, LA; sister, Ruth Cormier from Mitchell, LA; 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services honoring the life of Loy M. “Pappy” Free, Sr., 87, were held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 1, 2016 at Spring Ridge Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill with Reverends Marshall Ingle, Hoye Leach, Danny Forsythe and Logan  rock. Burial followed at Spring Ridge Cemetery. The family received friends at Spring Ridge Baptist Church on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 5:00 PM until time of the service. Pappy was born June 12, 1928 in Pleasant Hill to Frank and Lurline Blankenship Free and passed away March 27, 2016 in Shreveport, LA. He proudly served his country in the United States ARMY. Preceding Pappy in death were his parents; sisters Sadie Gates and Anice Free; brothers Bill, Alton, James, Tim, and Franklin Free; and a great grandson Landon Parks.

L.T. "Pee Wee" Harris, Jr., 62, of Mansfield, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 following a brief illness. Pee Wee was preceded in death by his father, L.T. Harris, Sr., and both his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Margaret P. Williams and stepfather, E.H. Williams, of Alabama; and step-mother, Jean Harris McElroy of Louisiana. Children, Todd Jason Harris (Lisa); Tricia Higginbotham (Jeremy); all of Alabama; Richard Chase Harris (Melissa); Ashleigh Harris Roberts (William); Lyndsi Brooke Harris; all of Louisiana; and Whitney Danielle Harris of Texas. Brothers, David Raborn (Nancy) of North Carolina; Mike Harris (Eunice); Shane Harris (Tammy); and Mike Cooke; all of Louisiana; Sisters, Debbie Harris (Delbert Rains); Vicki Stoma (Gilbert); Debbie Collier (Bruce); all of Louisiana; and Missy Williams of Alabama.
