DeSoto Clerk of Court to Offer E-Search Classes

DeSoto Parish Clerk of CourtJeremy Evans has announced thathis office will be offering a hands onworkshop course on Saturday, April25 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 PM atthe Logansport Branch of theDeSoto Parish Library. Theworkshop will be to help people tolearn how to navigate the Clerk ofCourt’s e-search system that allowscitizens to search public records.

151st Anniversary of The Battleof Pleasant Hill This Weekend

The 151th Anniversary of theBattle of Pleasant Hill will beremembered this year with re-enactments held April 10-12, 2015on the actual battlefield locatedthree miles north of the Village ofPleasant Hill on Hwy 175.This outstanding Civil War re-enactment portrays the historicallyrecorded events of the battle withthe help of more than 400 re-enactors.

DeSoto Voters Approve Tax Related Propositions in Special Election

DeSoto Voters Go to the Polls on Parishwide Propositions this Saturday

On Saturday, March 28, DeSoto Parish voters will go to the polls to determine whether or not two propositions for the school board will pass. The early ballot date will give the school board additional chances to bring the propositions back before the public should the vote fail to pass.

First Annual “Balloons Over DeSoto” Event Announced for May 8, 9 and 10

On May 8, 9 and 10, DeSoto Parish residents as well as the surrounding area will have the opportunity to be a part of something historic as a hot air balloon show entitled, “Balloons Over DeSoto” will be held. The
event will be filled with family fun for an entire weekend, and is sponsored by the DeSoto Parish Police Jury and DeSoto Parish Tourism Board.

NWTF Bayou Pierre Super Fund Banquet Set for Friday
