Undefeated Loyola Falls to Mansfield Wolverines

This past Friday, Coach Mike Green and the Mansfield Wolverines (4-6) football teamtraveled to Shreveport to face the  previously undefeated LoyolaCollege Prep Flyers (9-1). As the  Wolverines left the visiting locker room headed to field, Coach Green encouraged his players with one last statement, "You woke up this morning, you're here, you might as well grind." And grind they did, defeating the Flyers 42-35 in game that was full of hard hits and spectacular plays.

Mansfield Wolverines Fall to North Webster Knights 43-20

This past Friday, Coach Mike Green and the Mansfield Wolverines (2-6) football team traveled to Springhill to face the North Webster Knights (4-4). The Wolverines fell to the Knights 43-20. The game was much closer than the final score would indicate. The Wolverines trailed 20-29 with a 1:52 remaining in the fourth quarter before a couple of untimely penalties and a turnover allowed the Knights to pull away. The Wolverines had to fight the entire game to overcome penalties, 20 penalties for 190 yards. Many of which left the team and the fans scratching their heads.

North DeSoto Griffins Emerge Victorious Over Northwood 41-20

In a game that could have been deemed the battle of the rural communities, the North Desoto Griffins hosted the Northwood Falcons from the Blanchard area this past Friday night, featuring players that are probably just as comfortable fishing, hunting or horseback riding as they are to playing football.

Tiger Train Steamrolls St. Mary 40-8

The Logansport Tigers continued on their quest for a perfect season this past Friday night with a 40-8 dominating win over long time rival St Mary. It was the fifth time this season the Tigers scored at least 40 points in a game. For the season they are averaging 40.9 per game. Logansport received big games from John Stephens and Dalton Shaw on offense and Stephens along with Nakendric Peterson on defense.

Logansport Now 5-0 After Win Over Mansfield

The Logansport Tigers improved their record to 5-0 with a 33-27 win over the Mansfield Wolverines this past Friday night. The Tigers are 5- 0 to start the season for the first time since 2002. The game was back and forth before the Tigers finally put the game away in the fourth quarter. This Friday the Tigers travel to Northwood-Lena to take on the Gators. The Gators come into the game with a 0-5 record.
