In the season finale and warm up before the playoffs the 9-0 Logansport Tigers played host to longtime rival and 8-1 St Mary Tigers. The standing room crowd got their money’s worth as the 2 Tiger teams fought tooth and nail until the final horn sounded. After Logansport had extended their lead to 12 with 7:21 left in the game, St Mary cut the lead to 6 with 48 seconds left. St Mary then attempted an onside kick which bounced off a Logansport player and was recovered by the visitors. With 4 seconds left and 12 yards from the tying score, St Mary tried to trick the defense with a running play. Lacadrian Gant and Lekadrian Turner stopped the St Mary back for a loss of 2 yards to seal the victory 36-30. This week the Tigers begin the playoffs with a home game at Tiger Stadium.

Tigers Earn Passing Grade Against North Webster

Article Image Alt Text

By Kelsey Wheless

The North Webster Knights came into their matchup with the Logansport Tigers intent on not letting the Tiger ground game defeat them. The Tigers had no problem with that plan as quarterback Dalton Shaw passed for a season high 317 yards and 4 touchdowns to lead the Tigers to a 38-26 win over the Knights. The 4 touchdown passes give Shaw 81 for his career matching the school record set by current Tiger Head Coach Kevin Magee.

North Webster took the opening kickoff and went on a 15 play drive that used 7:40 off the clock. The Tiger defense held on 4th down to keep the Knight out of the endzone.
