The Mansfield High School Baseball team honored their senior players on Wednesday, April 20, in their game against district rival Bossier High School. The Wolverines defeated the Bearkats 9-6 in an exciting game at the Wolverine diamond and will advance to the first round of playoff action.

How the US Has Remained a World Leader For So Long

An interesting thing happened after Russia invaded Ukraine. Though US standing in the world had taken a knock after the muchneeded but chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, there was no question where the world’s democracies would turn for leadership in the Ukraine crisis. As much of Europe and Asia has found a new resolve on behalf of democratic values, in the time since the war began the US has been front and center in rallying them to the cause.

When the LHSAA released brackets for its seven non-select classes and five nonselect divisions on Thursday there were several rematches and one Friday game. In Class 4A, No. 32 Tara (5-7) of Baton Rouge traveled to play topseeded North DeSoto (29-5) at 4 p.m. Friday, April 15. The Lady Griffins defeated the Lady Trojans 15-0 in 3 innings.

The Mansfield High School Lady Wolverine Softball Team faced the Lady Rebels from Ebarb in a Friday afternoon game at MHS. While the Lady Wolverines ended up on the losing end of the score, 7 - 3, the Mansfield ladies saw junior Dalronique Ross hit an out-of-the-park homer to prove the MHS ladies were here to play! The MHS seniors were also honored at the end of the game: Ja’Kya Duncan, Cierra Taylor, Kemariya Thomas, and Kristeen Urbina.
