MANSFIELD, LA--Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Frances Atwood, 88, was be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 19, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Logansport, LA with Reverend Austin Hand and Reverend Timothy Roberson officiating. Burial followed at Bethel Cemetery in Logansport, LA. The family received friends at Rose- Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 6PM till 8PM. Frances was born on September 28, 1929 to Preston and Manilla Hilton Grantham and entered into rest on October 16, 2017. Preceding Frances in death are her husband of 65 years, Edward Atwood; her parents; and her sisters, Doris Hooper and Mary Grantham.

Funeral services for L. Hayes Wilkins, 98, was held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 21, 2017 in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Mansfield with Reverend Thumper Miller and Reverend Bob Latham officiating. Interment was held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, October 21, 2017 on the grounds of Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery in El Dorado, AR under the direction of Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel. The family welcomed guests for visitation Friday, October 20, 2017 from the hours of 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Mansfield Chapel. Mr. Wilkins was born September 29, 1919 in Bearden, AR to the late Robert Alex and Docie Elizabeth Mays Wilkins and was called to dance with the angels on October 17, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. He was an avid black jack player at the El Dorado Casino and bridge player always taking pleasure in winning big. Mr. Wilkins was a Master Sergeant of the 90th Division serving in European theatre and a member of the El Dorado Masonic Lodge #13 in El Dorado, AR.

Cecilia Annie Keilberg Lewis Snyder of Mansfield, Louisiana, passed peacefully into the hands of our Lord on Friday, October 20th, 2017 at 94 years of age. Cecilia was born on September 7, 1923 in Pin Oak, Texas. Cecilia was devoted to her family. A firstborn child and descendant of German immigrants, she was raised on a 160-acre cotton farm. She found immense joy in attending school every day and found particular delight in mathematics, reading and spelling and enjoyed her favorite pastime of dancing to the popular music of that time. Knowing what it meant to live and work on a farm during the dark days of the Great Depression, she developed a deep sense of appreciation for the “good times.” Later in life, she would hold the attention of her grandchildren with the stories of her childhood leaving an indelible and lasting impression of the sacrifices that were made and the lessons that were learned.

MANSFIELD, LA--Funeral services honoring the life of Charles Dearman, 90, was at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA with Reverend Thumper Miller and Joshua Grimsley officiating. Burial followed at O.E. Price Cemetery in Logansport, LA. The family received friends at Rose- Neath Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 6PM till 9PM. Charles was born on February 22, 1927 to Charles William Dearman and Harriet Dearman Crouse and entered into rest on October 9, 2017. He served honorably in the Army/Air Force during WWII and the Army during the Korean War. He retired from Dow Chemical Company, enjoyed woodworking, and gardening. Most of all he enjoyed his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Malloy, Jack, Tim, Fred and Billy Dearman; and his sisters, Irma Dearman, Virgie Rascoe, Katherine Wixen, Helen Besselman, and Hettie Alford.

MANSFIELD, LA-- A Celebration of Life Service for Dwena Mills Henry, 92, was held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Stanley High School Gymnasium, with Rev. Amador Santos of Hunter Magnolia Baptist Church and Rev. Weldon Sistrunk former pastor of Magnolia Baptist Church. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Stanley, LA. The family will received friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Logansport Chapel. Dwena was born September 14, 1925 in Logansport, LA to Violet Fox Mills and John Mills and went to be with her Lord and Savior October 2, 2017. She served her community with dignity and style.

Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Logansport, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 6 PM till 9 PM. Vera was born on March 11, 1912 to George and Janie McCrery Sample and entered into rest on September 29, 2017. Preceding Vera in death are her husband, Joel Huson Register; her parents; grandson, James Register, Jr.; son-in-law, David Davis; two sisters, Luella Sample Fregia and Garland Sample Morrell; and one brother, James Sample.

A Celebration of Life Service for Kathleen Creech Cates, 82, was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 2, 2017, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA, with Rev. Barbara Driscoll officiating. Interment followed at Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, LA. The family received friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the funeral home. Kay was born October 16, 1934, in Logansport, LA to Valeria Roberts Creech and William Howard Creech and went to be with her Lord and Savior September 26, 2017. Kay is preceded in death by her husband of 22 years John Albert Cates, Sr., and her daughter Joy Ann Carstensen. Left to cherish her memory is her special friend of 15 years, Ray Urban of Bossier City, LA; son, John Albert Cates, Jr.

Tommy Glen David LOGANSPORT, LA--Memorial services honoring the life of Tommy Glen David, 74, was held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA. Tommy was born on August 17, 1943 to Tom Edwin and Doris Jean Mayfield David and entered into rest on September 17, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Tommy Glen David, Jr. of Tenaha, TX, Wade David and wife Connie of Shreveport, LA; sister, Twilla Dyess of Shreveport, LA; brother, Eddie David and wife Sue of Loogootee, IN; grandchildren, Cody Price, Blake Price, Dylan David, Hayden David; and five great grandchildren.

Rosary was held at 6:00 PM. Connie was born on August 25, 1949 to Joseph and Gladys Howard Laffitte in Mansfield, LA and entered into rest on September 11, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her niece, Lana Lafitte Hutto.
