Lucille “Lucy” S. Terrell was born March 20, 1944 in Converse, LA to Edward and Myrtle Everitt Simpson and entered into rest on January 30, 2019. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother.

Preceding Lucy in death were her parents; husband, Jerry Wayne Terrell; sisters, Pat Simpson, Myrtle Faye Simpson; brothers, Bobby Simpson, Buddy Simpson; maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; and grandson, Trent Mann.

Funeral services honoring the life of Retired Mansfield Fire Chief Henry “Jimmy” Jackson, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Noble Baptist Church, Noble LA with Reverend Jimmy Price officiating. Interment will follow at Pelican Cemetery in Pelican, LA. The family will receive friends at Noble Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.

Henry was born April 3, 1938 in Mansfield, LA to Charlie and Cora Woods Jackson and entered into rest on January 26, 2019, in Shreveport, LA. He retired after 41 years of service from the Mansfield Fire Department serving 6 years prior to his retirement in 2004 as fire chief.

Burial will follow at Converse Cemetery in Converse, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA on Friday, January 25, 2019, from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m.

Cindy was born August 9, 1967 in Mansfield, LA to “Smokey” and Doris Bennett Stoker and entered into rest on January 21, 2019. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother.

Preceding Cindy in death were her biological father, “Smokey” Stoker; mother, Doris Bennett Haire; father, Larry J. Haire; brother, Larry Clifford Golden; grandchildren, Kylie and Kaylee Grant; and nieces, Keara Litton and Patsy Warschak.

Word “Holley” Wells, 87, of Baytown, Texas, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019, at his residence.

Holley was born October 25, 1931 in Longstreet, Louisiana and has resided in Baytown over the past 60 years. He was a graduate of Longstreet High School and attended Louisiana Tech. He was a former private school teacher of math and physical education, and an operator and shift foreman for Arco Chemical Company. He was an active member at Cedar Bayou Grace Methodist Church, Kiwanis Club, President of the Longstreet Memorial Cemetery Association. He was Secretary Treasurer of the Baytown Men’s Bowling Association for over 50 years. He was the first and only member of the Baytown USBC Association Hall of Fame. He served as a proud President of the Sterling Ranger Booster Club for almost 10 years. He enjoyed bowling, working cattle, sports and spending time with family. HE WAS THE GREATEST PAPAW IN THE WORLD.

Jim was born August 20, 1953 in Bay City, TX and entered into rest on January 23, 2019 in Mansfield, LA. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.

Preceding Jim in death were his parents, Arville Jackson Parker, Jr. and Anna Yvonne Holden Parker.

Joey was born November 24, 1957 in Texarkana, AR and entered into rest on January 25, 2019 in Shreveport, LA. He was a truck driver by trade and was a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather.

Preceding Joey in death were his father, James L. Welborn, maternal and paternal grandparents Ben and Thelma Welborn and Van & Villa Reid and his precious fur babies Baby & Lady.

Martha Ann Manasco, 71, of Timpson, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019, in Timpson, Texas. Born July 10, 1947, in Paxton Community, Shelby County, Texas to the late Andrew Ollis Sholar and Ethel Lee (Lewis) Munn. Memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Stanley Church of Christ, Stanley, Louisiana.

Martha was raised in Joaquin, Texas. She attended Joaquin High School and completed her GED. She met and married the love of her life, Roy Hershal, and the two spent over 45 years together before his passing. Her favorite past times are those spent serving the lord and spending time with her family. She enjoyed drinking coffee each day and watching Fox News. Martha spent time reading and enjoyed playing cards. She was a member of Stanley Church of Christ and loved her church and Lord dearly.

Rhonda Sibley Hudspeth, 55, of Center, passed from this life to the next, Friday, January 4, 2019, at Christus Highland Medical Clinic with her hand held tight to her husband Ryan’s and her eyes fixed wide on the Glory of her Lord.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Don Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Stanley, Louisiana.

Rhonda was born May 25, 1963, in Mansfield, Louisiana, to James Benton Sibley and Susan Bland Sibley. She grew up in the bustling city of Stanley, Louisiana. If you don’t know where that is, it’s just up the way from the Roberts Road past Stanley High School, where she graduated in the top 17 in her class, which included about 17.
