Converse, LA – Funeral services honoring the life of Berniece Elizabeth Nichols, began with the family receiving friends for visitation from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2019 in the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Mansfield Chapel. Mrs. Nichols’ funeral was also held in the Chapel on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Waylon Guant and Rev. Jimmy Price officiating. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse, LA.

Berniece was born February 1, 1919 in Mitchell, LA to Elmer Leroy Barrett and Ethel Elizabeth Gieger and entered into rest on April 6, 2019.

BARBARA DIANNE HOWELL TOUTCHEQUE

Barbara, 71, was called home to her heavenly savior on March 25, 2019. Her devotion to family and a firm faith in God along with being surrounded by family and friends ultimately gave her peace in her final days. Barbara married her best friend, Donald Lee Toutcheque. They were married for over 55 years. They shared a beautiful life together with strong family values. She protected her family through her prayer and faith in Jesus Christ. She was a spiritual mentor and prayer warrior; especially to her many grandchildren. Her faith overflowed as blessings onto all who met her. She had a servant’s heart. She loved to entertain family and friends in their home for dinner or coffee. Her spirit and smile were radiant and captured the hearts of all who met her. She was kind and soft-spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. One of her favorite past times was participating in Bible study and fellowshipping with other believers.

Wayne Jones. Interment will be at O. E. Price Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the funeral home.

Janice was born August 5, 1948 and passed away March 17, 2019. She was proceeded in death by father, Shelton Samuel Rogers, Sr.; mother, Annie Lois Steele Rogers; brother, Shelton Samuel Rogers, Jr.; father-in-law, Walter Pierce; and motherin-law, Catherine Pierce.

Many, LA – Funeral services honoring the life of Ronald “Ronnie” Reagan Chamberlin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rambin, LA with Father Francis Kamau officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Rambin Community. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019 with Rosary being held at 6:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA.

Ronnie was born July 12, 1956 in Mansfield, LA to John Marshall Chamberlin and Jeanine Rambin Chamberlin and entered into rest on March 21, 2019. Ronnie worked for Cleco for 30 years and loved his coworkers. He loved gardening, fishing and hunting. Most of all he was a proud grandfather of his first grandbaby, Lil Jack, who loved helping his Paw Paw picking his garden. He never met a stranger and was loved by so many people. He would help anyone in need. He loved the Lord and read his bible daily.

Bonnie was born June 30, 1936 in Eagle Lake, TX to Alford Oscar Morse of Bastrop, TX and Olivia Ladwig Morse of Garwood, TX. She passed away March 22, 2019 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd Roland Dans, Sr., and her son Gary Dans.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Eloise Austin; sisters, Pauline McKee, Audrey Leach, Opal Allen; and brothers, Jessie Ray Austin and Leroy Austin.

WANDA LEE PROTHRO

On March 8th 2019, at the age of 84, Wanda Lee Prothro of Mansfield, Louisiana, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Wanda was born in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma on October 3, 1934 to her parents Orville and Iris Leflett. She grew up in Haslam, Texas and graduated from Joaquin High School in 1951. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Tandy Byron Prothro, Jr, sister Quelda York and sister Leurene Murry, She is survived by her brothers Bobby Leflett, and Charles Leflett, son Robert Prothro and wife Kay, daughter Vicky Williamson and husband Michael, and son John Prothro, Grandchildren Emily Gilbert and husband Bryan, Jonathan Prothro and wife Leslie, Melissa Alvarez and husband Gonzalo, Christin Quintana and husband Victor, and Great Grandchildren, Avery Gilbert, Ryan Gilbert and William Prothro.

William “Bill” Bernard Flores, Sr., 95, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 after a short illness at the Northwest Louisiana War Veteran’s Home in Bossier City, LA. Beloved family, friends, and caretakers surrounded him during his final days.

He was born in the Rambin Community, DeSoto Parish, LA of Spanish-French descent to William Breazeale Flores and Mary Dabney DeSoto. On his maternal side, his 6th generation grandfather, Louis Antoine Juchereau de St. Denis, founded Natchitoches, LA in 1714. On his paternal side, his 5th generation grandfather, Gill Flores, was a Spanish official who came through Mexico City to Nacogdoches, TX.

Burial followed at Pelican Cemetery in Pelican, LA. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA on Sunday, March 3, 2019, from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m.

Mildred Dolores Rogers Caldwell passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 of a sudden illness. She was born in Franklinton, Louisiana on September 22, 1935 to J.D. and Althea Rogers. She was a resident of Pelican, Louisiana for seventy-one years and a faithful member of Pelican Baptist Church. Mildred was a home economist for three years in Sabine Parish. She also taught school for twenty and a half years.

The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA on Monday, February 25, 2019, from 1 p.m. till time of service.

Dean was born January 30, 1961 in Mansfield, LA and entered into rest on February 19, 2019.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 27 years, Sherri Wells of Mansfield, LA; mother and step-father, Darlene and Richard Freshour of Gresham, OR; father and step-mother, Hugh Carroll Wells and Patricia of West Palm, FL; sisters, Donna Pearson, Carrollyn Wakefield, Margaux Kinkade; brothers, Scott Lundervold, Gary Lundervold, Sterling Wells, Wesley Wells; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Honoring Dean as pallbearers will be Billy McCall, Kevin Hults, Jeffery Wells, Scott Lundervold, Gary Lundervold and Wesley Wells.
