Did you break a dish? Save the pieces and learn to make mosaic items for Christmas gifts. Are your plastic grocery bags overflowing? Learn to crochet mats to give to the homeless. Newspapers stacking up? Shred them for compost. Clothes are worn to threads? Cut out any usable sections and save for a quilting project, or use old holey socks and underwear for dusting and cleaning rags. (I would strongly suggest washing them first!)

Regardless of what you have that is worn out, or no longer usable for its intended purpose, there are many ways you can use them. I use an old claw foot tub for a garden. My son, James, loves music. One day, he got curious and started scrounging. Within an hour or so, he had created a washtub bass. I had an old set of muslin curtains that don’t fit any of my windows.

Tranquility, Tariff, Trade, Taxes, Tactics, and Trump

We have two

main political parties, but we have 100 different kinds of cheese, several large automotive companies, multiple genders, and countless religions. Just two political parties to try and fit every difference for each group of people. These differences are fueling growth in some areas but killing growth in others. The businesses that are growing we need to promote those businesses to get stronger and these struggling we need to patron to save (if they are meeting consumer needs). At this moment, no company is without some hesitation about what the future holds. Planning your competitive tactics is genuinely frustrating. The real issue is Small American Businesses have been at disadvantages against overseas markets. “Oh, lord, what are we to do now!”

Reading history, possibly about your foreparents, you will encounter words that are no longer commonly used. The following words will clarify some of those “Bygone Words” that were often used many years ago but are not in common use today

Hey, Let’s Talk! The Monster Mash

Hey, Let’s Talk! The Monster Mash

You remember that Sixties novelty song by Bobby “Boris” Pickett? Sung in a Boris Karloff type voice it’s been a popular Halloween song ever since AND I haven’t been able to get it out of my head since the Halloween party that Susan’s daughter Sommer put on last week.

This new time is hard to get used to. I woke up at 4:30 this morning. But when our bodies adjust to it, we’ll be just fine.

A bunch of mine went to the State Fair Friday. Ethan, Aly, Decker, Rodney, Carol and Pat Arbuckle. Alyssa and Ellie Clark, Trent and Bre Jones, and Suzanne Justice. The kids were all so good and the weather was perfect. When Trent and I went there, we also went to a basketball game at Pleasant Hill. He got to spend the night with us, first time in a while. But that was one tired little boy by the time we got home, I don’t think he moved all night long.

The title could be about the first frost of the season and Autumn leaves starting to turn OR this title could be the opening stanza of the second verse from one of my favorite songs by that old Psychedelic Rock band Jefferson Airplane called “If You Feel”?

We had the Fall Carnival Friday night at Stanley. It was very well attended and I think all the kids had a good time. Jason brought Jax over, but all he wanted to do was eat. Aly and Ethan brought Decker, but after chasing him for about 15 minutes, they were ready to go. Cammie brought Trent down. Bre, Alyssa, and Ellie also attended. That is sponsored by the PTO.
