After having the first two district games for the 2021-2022 basketball season postponed, the Mansfield High School Wolverines were able to play their first district game against the North Webster Knights on Friday, January 21, at MHS. The Wolverines emerged victorious with a final score of 79-38.

The MHS Lady Wolverines played the Lady Bearkats at Bossier HIgh School on Tuesday, January 18. The Lady Wolverines emerged victorious over the district foe with a score of 63-40. A win over Green Oaks on January 14 (MHS 64, GOHS 12) and a cancellation of the game against North Webster on January 21 has the Lady Wolverines currently undefeated in district play. Northwood Eagles Beat Griffins 52 to 72

North DeSoto 2021-22 Wrestling Elementary, Middle, and High School Teams

On December 21, the wrestling team from North DeSoto High School participated in the Prep Classic Duals at Evangel Christian Academy. Other teams joining the Griffins were the Evangel Eagles, Byrd Yellowjackets, Bossier Bearkats, South Beauregard Golden Knights, and John Curtis Patriots. (submitted by Robert Summerlin)

North DeSoto High School Griffins

The Lady Wolverines defeated Gibsland-Coleman Saturday night to win the 31st Annual Minden Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament.

The Lady Wolverines defeated Calvary Baptist on Wednesday night 57-20; defeated Homer on Friday night 38-25, and defeated Gibland-Coleman 37-34 on Saturday.

Three Lady Wolverines were selected to the All-Tournament Team: Cheseney Malone, D’Marchay Scott, and Cierra Taylor. Taylor was also selected a Tournament MVP.
