Lady Tigers Softball Wins Two of Three

The Lady Tiger hosted the Montgomery Lady Tigers in their 2nd District 3-1A game of the season. The Lady Tigers came out on the short end of a 5- 0 game. Katie Woods took the loss for Logansport pitching the complete game. For the game Woods only gave up 6 hits and 5 runs, although only 1 of the runs were earned. Logansport only managed 2 hits in the game. In the bottom of the 2nd Emmarie Atkins singled to centerfield. The Lady Tigers’ other hit came in the bottom of the 3rd in on a single by Jordan Porterfield to left field.

On Friday, The Lady Tigers traveled to Alexandria to take part in the Grace Christian Tournament. First up was a matchup with Dunham. The game was a back and forth affair until the Lady Tigers took control with 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning. Landry Atkins got Logansport on the board when she drove in Jordan Porterfield and Hallee Holloway for a 2-0 lead. Dunham responded with 4 runs in the top of the 2nd to take a 4-2 lead. In the bottom of the 2nd Colby Rolfe singled to right field and drove in Sara Arbuckle. Holloway gave the Lady Tigers the lead back with a bases clearing 3 run double to score Rolfe, Woods, and Porterfield. Dunham scored twice in the top of the 3rd to re-tie the game at 6. In the bottom of the 3rd, Woods drove in Arbuckle on a single to right field and Porterfield singled in Woods to give Logansport an 8-6 lead.
