Save the Children to Open New Head Start Centers in DeSoto, Natchitoches Parishes

Nonprofit to Provide High-Quality Early Childhood Education in Greater DeSoto and Beyond with State-of-the-Art Facilities

Save the Children, which has operated Head Start and Early Head Start programs for almost a decade in rural communities across America, is strengthening its investment in high-quality early education opportunities in northwest Louisiana. The nonprofit recently opened a brand new, state-of-the-art Head Start center in Mansfield earlier this month, and a new center in Natchitoches will open later this year, supporting children in Natchitoches, Desoto and Red River Parishes.

“Save the Children is proud to provide high-quality early childhood education to the children, families and communities across DeSoto, Natchitoches and Red River Parishes. We are excited to open these brand-new Head Start centers to help ensure the youngest members of these communities get the early learning opportunities they need to be successful in school and life,” said Chriscella Metoyer, Save the Children’s Head Start Program Director in northwest Louisiana.
