The Logansport Tigers, just like everyone else, had to endure a strange and unprecedented 2020 season. Logansport finished the season with a 5 and 3 record and an appearance in the Quarterfinal round of the Class A Playoffs. With no summer workouts and unsure if there would even be a 2020 season, the Tigers faced uncertainty. Then the sun shone through the clouds on September 9 when the LHSAA Executive Committee voted 22-1 to proceed with the 2020 season. Practice could begin the next day, September 10 and an 8 game season would begin on October 1. Coach Kevin Magee and the Tigers began working on their season. On September 24 the Tigers hosted the Calvary Cavaliers in a controlled scrimmage to prepare for the season the next week.

On October 2, the Bossier Bearkats came to town to kickoff the season. With uncertainty surrounding the season, the Tigers honored their 2020 seniors on opening night. The Tigers came away with a 40-20 win over the Bearkats. Quarterback Khameron Boykins led the potent Tiger offense with 220 yards passing and adding 128 rushing yards. Senior running back, Key’selvyn Barnes kicked off a record setting season with 132 rushing yards. Defensively the Tigers were lead by Javari Jewett and Jace Thompson with 7 tackles each. Coming off the high of the big win over Bossier, the Tigers were preparing to travel to Woodlawn the next Friday. Suddenly Covid struck the Tigers. It was learned that a Bossier player had tested positive and so the Tigers had to cancel their next 2 games, Woodlawn and rival Mansfield.

After a 2 week unplanned break the Tigers welcomed Block into town on October 23, for Homecoming. Once again the Tigers showed their explosive offense and defeated the visiting Bears 40-0. Barnes had his first 200-yard rushing game of the night as he amassed 214 yards and 3 touchdowns on the night. Boykins had another good game completing 16 out of 26 passes for 161 yards. Kolton Neumann led the defense with 12 tackles and Tonzaiha Bland added 11. Hayden Rolfe was in on 3 quarterback sacks.
