	Is Anyone at Home at the DA’s Office?

Elections for incumbent officials can be stressful for them and their staff, especially if they lose their position, as was the case with the 42nd Judicial District Attorney that represents DeSoto Parish. Business and life goes on as usual for the citizens, the victims, those awaiting trial, and the witnesses waiting for their day in court no matter what the outcome of the election is. Or does it?

In DeSoto Parish, it seems it does not. A sign on the DA’s door clearly states that the lobby is temporarily closed and has been up for several weeks. The phone number listed on the sign has gone unanswered with many people coming in The Enterprise office, which is right next door, asking what to do. Not knowing what to tell them we have referred them to the Judge’s two offices.
