Stonewall Alters Christmas Celebration with Santa Parade Through Residential Sections

With careful consideration regarding the situation we have with COVID-19 and keeping with Gov. John Bel Edwards mandates organizers of the Stonewall Christmas Parade and Festival have made a few changes for 2020

Chairman Charlotte Byrd Newcome said, “We will not let COVID and mandates stop Santa from coming to Stonewall! We will simply bring Santa to the kids by going by there houses.”

With that in mind, the original Santa Parade will take the place of the street parade that circles around the North DeSoto School Campus. If you would like to participate in the event, decorate your vehicle and be festive on Saturday, December 5 and bring some candy or trinkets to throw to bring Christmas cheer to the neighborhoods.
