Community Bank Announces Retirement of John G. Russell

William E. Dorroh, President and CEO of Community Bank of Louisiana has announced the retirement of John Russell, Senior Vice President and Branch Manager of the Logansport Office. In making the announcement, Dorroh congratulated John on 18 years of service at Community Bank and 31 years of service in the banking industry.

John is a 1972 graduate of Logansport High School and a 1976 graduate of Northwestern State University. He is also a 1997 graduate of the School of Banking of the South at LSU.

John began his employment career at Russell Engineering and Surveying where he worked for 13 years from 1976 to1989. He entered the banking industry in 1989 as a branch manager at First National Bank of Mansfield, which transitioned, into a position at Hibernia National Bank in both DeSoto and Webster Parish. In 2002, John became a member of the Community Bank of Louisiana staff as branch manager of the Bert Kouns Office. He subsequently moved to the Logansport Office in 2005 and has capably managed that office for the last 15 years.
