DeSoto Chamber Hosts Ribbon Cutting for Mansfield Collision Center

On Wednesday, June 17, the DeSoto Parish Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon Cutting ceremony for Mansfield Collision Center, located at 11447 Hwy 171 N, just north of Mansfield. The business is owned by Franklin “Frank” Walker and officially opened its doors for business on March 20, 2020. While she doesn’t work at the business, Frank’s wife Shanda is there to lend her husband’s operation moral support.

Originally from Haskell, Oklahoma, where he was born and raised, Walker moved to Louisiana in 1996. At the time he was working for Sherwin Williams Automotive Finishes. He has owned a similar shop in Shreveport for 15 years, but he wanted to get closer to home.

DeSoto Parish is the home Frank is referring to, where the Walkers have lived for the last 23 years. Originally looking to open his business in Stonewall, the Walkers decided the location between Grand Cane and Mansfield on Highway 171 was ideal for their needs.
