Third Time’s Charm as Pleasant Hill Brings Home LHSAA Class C Championship

Marsh Madness at Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles has continued with limited attendance with championships played in empty arenas. Although fans and their support would have made the victory sweeter with a live celebration, the team, coaching staff and support personnel of the number 4 Pleasant Hill Eagles rejoiced with their victory over the number 2 Hicks Pirates 71 to 58.

The Class Championship game began at 4:00 p.m. with the Eagles holding off a Hicks rally to capture the 2020 LHSAA title. Hicks had previously defeated the Eagles twice during regular season making them the District 3-C champs, but Friday the 13th proved lucky for P-Hill.
