Enterprise Columnist Carpenter Pens First Children’s Book

Former local resident Allison Davidson Carpenter has been a regular columnist for The Enterprise for the last several years, keeping us all entertained and informed with her weekly column, “Along the Way”. She grew up in up in Mansfield, where she developed a love for creative writing at an early age.

She explained, “When I was in the fifth grade at Johnson Elementary in Mansfield, I had an English teacher named Mrs. Ida Pratt. One day, Mrs. Pratt pulled me aside and gave me a paperback children’s book that was completely blank from cover to cover.”
