North DeSoto Loses in the Last Minutes of Homecoming

North DeSoto has been on the road for three weeks. They were finally back at Griffin stadium this week for homecoming. After losing two of the three road games, the Griffins really needed a win this week.

Quarter 1

North DeSoto received the ball to start. David Atkins ran the ball to begin the drive. Then Beau Phillips ran it for a few plays. Kelvin Kinney connected with Colin McDaniel for first down before connecting with David Atkins in the end zone on 4th down for the Griffins to score first. They took the lead 7-0 with 9:30 left. North DeSoto also recovered the onside kick, but they went three and out and punted it away. BTW put together a long drive that got them into the red zone, but the Griffin defense stood tall and forced a turnover on downs. North DeSoto was putting together a drive when the first quarter ended.
