Tips for the Lunch Box

Kids are back in school, and one of the most hectic morning chores is to pack a lunch. We want them to eat healthy, but we want them to love it, too. We need make-ahead ideas, and make it easy for kids to pack their own. Here are some great tips for packing a lunch. These are good tips for the adult lunchbox as well.

* Fresh Fruits and Veggies – Veggies are one of the easiest pieces to any lunch box. Scrape and cut carrots into 1/4” strips. Cut broccoli into florets. Celery can be sliced into 3” pieces. Then pack an assortment into individual sandwich bags. Each morning, grab one and toss it in the lunch box. For fruit, toss in an apple, or a bag of grapes, strawberries or a banana.
