Battle of Pleasant Hill 155th Anniversary Re-Enactment Set for April 12-14

The Battle of Pleasant Hill Reenactment Committee and Miss Battle of Pleasant Hill, Isabelle Kathleen Davis, are hard at work planning and promoting this year’s event scheduled for April 14 - 16, 2019. This will mark the 155th Anniversary of the largest Civil War battle fought west of the Mississippi River, and is held on the ground hallowed those many years ago by the blood of Americans locked in mortal combat.

The upcoming event will feature their annual School Day on Friday, April 12 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday’s events include breakfast at Battlefield Hall from 6:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., a parade through downtown Pleasant Hill at 10:00 a.m., the Main Battle Re-Enactment at 2:00 p.m., and the Period Ball and Court Presentation at the Dogtrot Cabin at 7:00 p.m., with period dress suggested. Sundays events will begin with breakfast at Battlefield Hall at 6:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., open camp activities from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., church services open to all at 10:00 a.m., the crowning ceremony of the 2019 Miss Battle of Pleasant Hill at 1:00p.m., followed by the opening ceremonies for Sunday’s historic conflict. The final battle reenactment is scheduled from 2:00 p.m.
