RITA ANN FOSHEE BOLGIANO

Funeral services honoring the life of Rita Ann Foshee Bolgiano were held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 05, 2020 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Stanley, Louisiana. Officiating the service was Rev. Richard Tull. Interment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, Louisiana. The family received friends at the church from 3:00 p.m. until service time.

Rita was born on May 28, 1949 in Logan sport, Louisiana to W.C. and Lois Foshee. She entered into eternal rest on July 2, 2020 in Waskom, Texas. She was a homemaker and a granny to everyone after her retirement. She graduated from Northwestern State University where she went on to be a teacher in the public school system.

A celebration of life service for Willis T. “Hotshot” Ricks Jr, 66, will be held on July 11, 2020 at Oakridge Park at the pavilion located at 316 Oak Ridge Road, Logansport, LA 71049 beginning at 11:30-1:00 for family and 1:00-3:00 for friends.

Willis was born on December 10, 1953 in Mansfield, Louisiana to Willis Thornton Sr. and Viletta Goins Ricks. He entered into eternal rest on June 28, 2020 at his residence.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Willis T. Ricks, Sr. and Viletta Ricks and his maternal grandmother, Alice Goins.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Robin Ricks of Mansfield, LA; daughter, Brandy Crow of Los Angeles, CA; grandson, Cedric Jacob Crow of New Braunfels, TX; sisters, Norma Ricks of Mansfield, LA, Rebecca White and husband Jonathan of Stafford, VA, and Vicki Ricks and husband Ted Lint of Grand Rapids, MI; and nephew, John Jeffrey Linger of Mansfield, LA.

Elton Eugene Crocker, 94, of Grand Cane, LA, died Friday, July 3, 2020. The family received visitors on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, from 12p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Grand Cane Baptist Church. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Mike Scott officiating. Interment will be at the Grand Cane Cemetery, with arrangements by Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

E.E. was born October 12, 1925, in rural Sabine County, TX, to Johnnie Willis Crocker, Sr., and Sophronia Clark Crocker Woods. He was reared by his mother and stepfather, Raymond Woods, with his six siblings.

At the age of 17, after graduating from Newton High School, E.E. enlisted in the United States Navy, serving four years. He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, from which he retired after a 22-year career, earning the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. E.E. lived the Marine Corps core values each day of his life: Honor, Courage, and Commitment.

Robert Herring “Bob” Church Jr., age 80, of Mansfield, Louisiana passed away on July 4, 2020. A visitation with the family will be held at 10:00 a.m. with the celebration of Bob’s life immediately following. Both will be held at Mansfield United Methodist Church on July 11, 2020.

Bob was born in Jacksonville, FL on November 14, 1939 and he was preceded in death by his father and mother Robert H. and Ethel Mae Higginbotham Church and his sister Ethel Susan Church McClure Stephens.

Memorial services honoring the life of Jerry Dean Marr, 70, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Mansfield, Louisiana with Bro. Weyland Gauntt officiating.

Jerry was born on October 5, 1949 in Mansfield, Louisiana to Ernest and Jackie Marr. He entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2020 in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Jerry graduated from Pelican High School in 1967. He owned and operated a heavy equipment and auto mechanic business for 30+ years. Jerry was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Mansfield, Louisiana. He had a servant’s heart and never passed up an opportunity to teach, lend a helping hand to someone in need, or have you stay for supper. His family and especially his grandchildren brought him tremendous joy. He loved his children and grandchildren equally.

Graveside services honoring the life of Rory Glynn LeGrand were held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Grove Hill Cemetery in Pelican, Louisiana with Bro. Larry Pridmore officiating. A visitation with the family was held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana from 11:30- 12:00 for family and 12:00-2:00 for friends.

Rory was born on August 16, 1956 in Shreveport, Louisiana to James and Billie LeGrand. He entered into eternal rest on June 25, 2020 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas surrounded by family while camping.

Rory’s life was filled with his love for Lisa and her happiness, his face lit up every time she walked into the room. His gift of music and love for his guitars filled both of their lives with joy. His memories were filled with his friends that he played with in the Dolet Hills Band and Doc Leigh and the Buzzard band. Since retirement, their time has been filled with camping adventures with family and friends.

Claude Howard Mathis was born in Mansfield, Louisiana on July 15, 1947 to Claude Thomas Mathis and Lucy Hilda Burlingham Mathis. He went to be with our Lord on June 10, 2020 in Jonesboro, Louisiana after a lengthy illness.

Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Claude T and Lucy Mathis, and by his brother Adrian Thomas Mathis.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jennifer Jo Mathis: 4 children: Claude Howard Mathis II (Duck) and wife Michelle, Constance Victoria Mathis Helmick (Tina) and husband Joe, Monica Ann Bourque Hill and husband Michael, and Nathan John Mathis and wife Brandi; 2 stepchildren; Joshua Aucoin Jr and Mark Aucoin; 11 grandchildren: Matt and wife Valarie, Bree, Courtney, Bridget, Chelsea, James, Brooke, Dalton, Howie, Tristan, and Alyssa; and 5 great-grandchildren; Brody, Baylor, Olivia, Ella and Ren; 2 brothers: Frankie Mathis and wife Pam and John Mathis and wife Sharon, also numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

A visitation with the family was held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. It began at 5:00 p.m. and lasted until 7:00 p.m.

Bruce was born on July 31, 1963 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Newton and Lois Temple. He entered into eternal rest on June 22, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

A visitation with the family was held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Bobby was born on April 21, 1927 in Logansport, Louisiana to Charlie and Mary Matthews. He entered into eternal rest on June 14, 2020 in Logansport, Louisiana.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mary Matthews; his wife of 30 years, Rose Matthews; six brothers; three sisters; and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Cook and Samantha Gale.
