By Danny Lowery

It was more Friday Night Lights as the Wolverines travel to Carroll High School in Monroe and come home with another victory. LHS Tigers Win 1, Tie 1 in Jamboree

By Kelsey Wheless

On a night when the Logansport Tigers honored one of their fallen players, the 3 DeSoto Parish football teams came together as one. Logansport and North DeSoto kicked off the 2018 DeSoto Parish Jamboree. On the first play from scrimmage, the Tigers handed the ball to Xavier Simpson who gained 1 yard and knelt down to end the play. Simpson was wearing the number 42 jersey of his twin brother, Javier Simpson. Javier passed away this past June while swimming with friends in the Sabine River. After the play, all 3 teams gathered on the field as Simpson removed his brother’s jersey. After a moment of silence and a short prayer, the number 42 was retired.
