MARY ANN “ANNA” HATCHER

Funeral services honoring the life of Mary Ann “Anna” Hatcher will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Beulah Baptist Church in Mansfield, Louisiana with Rev. David Permenter officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Logansport, Louisiana. A visitation with the family will be held at the church on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.

Anna was born on November 6, 1957 in Mansfield, Louisiana to Albert and Wyoming Bonds. She entered into eternal rest on July 21, 2020 in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Anna was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She loved her church family and was loved by many friends. She cherished lots of joyful memories.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Albert Bonds and Wyoming Richardson Bonds.

Rufus Franklin “Frankie” Marshall, Jr., 73, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 20, 2020.

Funeral services honoring the life of Rufus were held at Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Brad Darner officiating. Visitation was held on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial followed at Beulah Cemetery in Mansfield, LA.

Rufus was a 1965 graduate of Mansfield High School who was drafted into the US Army during rgw Vietnam era. He was awarded the Silver Star for his bravery and exceptional service under fire along with the Purple Heart for the wounds he received while in combat. He was a member of

DEAN ENGLISH

Dean English, 59, passed away on July, 24, 2020 at his residence in Shreveport, Louisiana. He, the son of Curtis Hugh and Stena Mae Smith English, was born June 24, 1961 in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dean had a love for music, especially Classic Rock and Heavy Metal, and had been a drummer with several area bands through the years. He was an avid gun and knife collector, loved old cars, and playing golf. Dean loved to BBQ and cook for his family and friends. He could tell stories with the best of them and was a friend to everyone.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Nikki English Griffin (Jeremy); brother, Rex English; two grandchildren, Kayson Smith and Kiara Griffin and numerous other family and friends.

Funeral service were Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home-Logansport Chapel. Rev. Dean Register will officiate and the burial will be at Adams Cemetery in Logan, Texas.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Helon Elizabeth Foshee, age 100 and six months, were held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Homes - Logansport Chapel, with Bro. Charles Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Cool Springs Cemetery near Logansport. A visitation with the family was held from 2:00 PM until service time at the funeral home Saturday.

Helon was born on January 17, 1920 in Logansport, LA to Marvin Miller Sutton and Lilian Fletcher Sutton. She passed away July 23, 2020 in Shreveport, LA. Helon is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Van Foshee, her brother Williard Sutton, and her grandson Zachary Jacques. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Jerry, Robert, Donald, and Edwin Foshee; her daughter Juanita Ballard; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Charlotte Joan Hendrix joined our Lord on July 10, 2020. She will be greatly missed by her dear friends and family. Joan is the daughter of Truman A. Holley and Gertie Lee Holley and was born on December 29,1934. She married the love of her life, Otis L. “Butch” Hendrix after meeting him at the White Squirrel Cafe in Maud, Texas. They were married in 1955 and a few years later moved to Mansfield.

Memorial services honoring the life of Melanie Dawn Waldrop Cox, 59, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Roseneath’s Chapel in Logansport.

Melanie was born on February 8, 1961 to Darrell and Linda Waldrop in Monroe, Louisiana. She entered into eternal rest on April 25, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Melanie was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Faye McCloud.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Mel Art Cox of Logansport, LA; father, Darrell Dean Waldrop of Natchez, MS; son, Colton Cobbs of Logansport, LA; daughters, Kristen Golden and husband Rhet of Joaquin, TX and Brittany Cox of Logansport, LA; brother, Jody Waldrop of Natchez, MS; sisters, Laura Cooper of Farmerville, LA and Darolyn Waldrop of North Carolina, along with five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to a charity of your choice or to an animal rescue.

Funeral services honoring the life of Rita Ann Foshee Bolgiano were held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 05, 2020 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Stanley, Louisiana. Officiating the service was Rev. Richard Tull. Interment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, Louisiana. The family received friends at the church from 3:00 p.m. until service time.

Rita was born on May 28, 1949 in Logan sport, Louisiana to W.C. and Lois Foshee. She entered into eternal rest on July 2, 2020 in Waskom, Texas. She was a homemaker and a granny to everyone after her retirement. She graduated from Northwestern State University where she went on to be a teacher in the public school system.

A celebration of life service for Willis T. “Hotshot” Ricks Jr, 66, will be held on July 11, 2020 at Oakridge Park at the pavilion located at 316 Oak Ridge Road, Logansport, LA 71049 beginning at 11:30-1:00 for family and 1:00-3:00 for friends.

Willis was born on December 10, 1953 in Mansfield, Louisiana to Willis Thornton Sr. and Viletta Goins Ricks. He entered into eternal rest on June 28, 2020 at his residence.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Willis T. Ricks, Sr. and Viletta Ricks and his maternal grandmother, Alice Goins.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Robin Ricks of Mansfield, LA; daughter, Brandy Crow of Los Angeles, CA; grandson, Cedric Jacob Crow of New Braunfels, TX; sisters, Norma Ricks of Mansfield, LA, Rebecca White and husband Jonathan of Stafford, VA, and Vicki Ricks and husband Ted Lint of Grand Rapids, MI; and nephew, John Jeffrey Linger of Mansfield, LA.

Elton Eugene Crocker, 94, of Grand Cane, LA, died Friday, July 3, 2020. The family received visitors on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, from 12p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Grand Cane Baptist Church. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Mike Scott officiating. Interment will be at the Grand Cane Cemetery, with arrangements by Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

E.E. was born October 12, 1925, in rural Sabine County, TX, to Johnnie Willis Crocker, Sr., and Sophronia Clark Crocker Woods. He was reared by his mother and stepfather, Raymond Woods, with his six siblings.

At the age of 17, after graduating from Newton High School, E.E. enlisted in the United States Navy, serving four years. He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, from which he retired after a 22-year career, earning the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. E.E. lived the Marine Corps core values each day of his life: Honor, Courage, and Commitment.
