A funeral service for Wanda Faye Morris was held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home at 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, La. Interment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, LA. A visitation was held on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wanda Smith Morris was born in Port Arthur, TX on December 12,1932 to Levert Smith and Tressie Parker and entered into rest on Friday, May 17, 2024. Wanda was co-owner of Dick’s Marineland in Lake Charles and Needle and Art Shop where she began a lifelong hobby of doll making. She was also an avid crafter and loved working in her flower garden. Wanda enjoyed riding motorcycles, sewing and her grandkids. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Stanley, LA and then Southside Church of Christ. Preceding her in death are her are parents, Levert and Tressie Smith; husband, Richard E. Morris; son, Royce Everett Morris; brother, Ray Smith; and sisterin- law, Sydonia Smith. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Rhonda Carroll (Kim), Linda Bordelon, and Carla Amy (Jimmy); brother, Milton Smith (Janette); grandchildren, Dana Zimbeck (Todd), Jason Willis (Christy), Jennifer Calvo (Henry), Jacki Francis, Rick M. Harper (Mallory) , B.J. Lampton (Hollie), Kelli Harper; great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Jayden Zimbeck, Kolton Willis (Destiny), Kennedy and Jace Calvo, Isaac, Isaiah, Quinn and Lucie Lampton, Eli, Kai, Amaris, Josai and Bodhi Harper; great great grandchildren, Remi Shows, and Eli and Emma Willis. Pallbearers were Rick Harper, Jason Willis, Ryan Carroll, Eli Harper, Kai Harper, and Jace Calvo. Honorary Pallbearers were Isaac Lampton, Isaiah Lampton, and Josai Harper.
