Barbara was known and loved by many. Her favorite title though was “MeMom” and she was MeMom to MANY all over this United States. She was a very faithful servant to the Lord. Active with her family as well as with her church. she left her fingerprints of love on all of our hearts, the same way she put them on the tea cakes that we all loved so much. She always shared her strength, knowledge, wisdom and huge hugs. She gave the best hugs and was a self-certified hugger. If she saw a child fall she would say “ Caboosha” to help pick them back up and make them smile She was a collector of many things, with cookie jars being one of her favorites. She was also fond of the name Dixie, as a few of her dogs had that name. She was creative, artsy and crafty and loved to share doing it. She always presented herself well, strong, graceful and courageous. She was the matriarch, backbone and glue to so many of the family. Friend or family if she loved you she did it with her whole heart unconditionally. Our hearts have a hole that can never be filled.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered; it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
(1 Corinthians 13:4–8)
