ELLEN LEE SEGURA

Slidell, Louisiana Ellen Lee Segura, born on March 25, 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on October 14, 2025, in Slidell, Louisiana. She will be remembered fondly for her vibrant personality, having earned the nickname «Trouble» from her father. Ellen was a hard worker throughout her life, dedicating many years to the hospitality industry as a waitress before retiring. Ellen graduated from Mansfield High School and grew up in Mansfield, Louisiana. She had a deep love for Elvis Presley and cherished butterflies and tigers. In her later years, she found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, Roy Lesli Cathcart and Emri Grace Kelly.

Ellen is survived by her children, Nicole Dixon (Christopher), Scott Kelly (Christy), and Rachel Kelly, and her siblings Melba Segura, Ronnie Segura (Bea), Jill Segura, and Jake Segura (Gloria). Additionally, she is survived by her 6 grandchildren, including Cody James Bergeron, Tristan Scott Kelly, Samaira Paige Kelly, Chaston Raines Kelly, Roy Leslie Cathcart, and Emri Grace Kelly, and her great-grandchildren, Liam James Bergeron and Lucas Adam Bergeron.

Ellen is preceded in death by her father, Dr. Jacob Smith Segura, Jr., her mother, Melba Benton Segura, and her sister, Dixie Segura.

She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. There will be no service at this time. There will be a memorial at a later date.
