9/03/40 1/30/25 On January 30, 2025, Floyd Earl Nesom entered into heavenly rest in Mansfield, LA. Earl was born on September 3, 1940, to parents RT Nesom and Verna Ruth Dyes Nesom in Belmont, LA. He was the middle of three children, and their only son. Earl was a great husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. His greatest loves were his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to tell you all about them. Earl spent over 45 years devoted to working in the oilfield, traveling around the world. He was also a Master Mason and Deacon at Fellowship Baptist Church, often spending his own time and using his own equipment to maintain the grounds of both the lodge and church, and anywhere else that needed it.

Floyd Earl Nesom is preceded in death by his mother, Verna Ruth Dyes Nesom; his father, RT Nesom; and his sister, Lillian Nesom Love. Left to hold and cherish his memories are his wife of 65 years, Eloise Davis Nesom; son Wade Nesom (Joyce Lafitte Nesom); daughters, Sue Nesom Ebarb (John) and Lyna` Nesom Armstrong (Raymond); sister, Freddie Nesom Cobbs; grandchildren, Amanda Ebarb, Thomas Armstrong, Kayla Ebarb Hubbard ( Cody Hubbard), Colton Paddie, Elizabeth Armstrong, Dakota Nesom, and Rickey Armstrong; great-grandchildren, Olivia Price, Cohen Hubbard, and Hallie James Hubbard.

Visitation was held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025 located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk St. Mansfield, LA 71052. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 with interment including Masonic Rites, following at Belmont Cemetery in Belmont, LA. Celebrating his life as pallbearers were John Ebarb, Raymond Armstrong, Thomas Armstrong, Rickey Armstrong, Colton Paddie, Dakota Nesom, Cody Hubbard, Josh Boyce, and Cohen Hubbard.
