Janet Tumbleson

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Janet Tumbleson Pharris, age 61, on Saturday, December 7th, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law and friend. The funeral services, Brandon and Andrea Burnett officiating, will be held on Thursday, December 12th at 10:00 a.m. at RoseNeath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11th, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The burial will be held the following week at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans cemetery under the direction of Mike Armstrng.

Janet was born on December 24th, 1962, to William and Jane Tumbleson in Brooklyn, New York.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents William and Jane; three brothers, Robert, Jimmy and Richie Tumbleson.

Janet is survived by her husband of 39 years, Rick Pharris of Mansfield, Louisiana; son Nick Pharris and his wife, Megan, of Rock Hill, South Carolina and their son Blayton; former foster sons Michael Carter and wife, Stephanie, of Midland, Texas and Micah Assulin (Sissy) of El Dorado, Arkansas; second mom, Joy Hatcher of Converse, Louisiana.

Brothers William and wife, Teri Tumbleson, of Sayreville, New Jersey; Wayne Tumbleson (Patricia) of Atlanta, Georgia; Timothy and Patricia Tumbleson of Brooklyn, New York; John Tumbleson (Donna) of Tullahoma, Tennessee; Tommy Tumbleson of Atlanta, Georgia, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
