Glen G. McFadden was born in Eastern Panola County to Ennis John and Lottie Mae Deas McFadden. He passed from this life on May 23, 2024. He met & married the former Mary Gene Davis and they celebrated 71 years of marriage together. He was a graduate of Longstreet High School. After High School He went to work for Southern Natural Gas were he retired as a Plant Maintenance Operator after 28 ? years. Glen served in the United States Army and was trained to be a Military Policeman. He was in the Korean War and served in Japan He was in the Military reserves upon his return home and honorably discharged on March 16th, 1961 as a SP4 (E4). He was a member of Liberty Lodge 123 in Keatchie, Louisiana and at one point was Master of the lodge. When the Liberty Lodge closed the membership was transferred to the Mansfield Lodge # 250. He had over 60 Years as a Mason. He was a 32 degree mason in the Scottish rite for 59 years. He was past post commander of the Gorden Cohen American Post in Logansport, Louisiana.
One of his main loves was raising cattle & working around his farm on his tractors. He also enjoyed hunting & fishing and had many wonderful hunting dogs that he enjoyed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ennis John and Lottie Mae Deas McFadden, Sisters Estene Wyrick, & Mary Faith McFadden, Brothers, Ennis James McFadden & Don Ray McFadden.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Mary Gene McFadden, Daughter Glenda Dodd & Husband David of Williams, Arizona, Son Terry G. McFadden of Deadwood, Texas and Daughter Glenice G. Bostick of Azle, Texas, Sister Vernell McFadden and Brother Arthur (Snokey) McFadden of the Shiloh community. Four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
As per Glen’s wishes there will be no visitation, memorial service or funeral as he has donated his body to medical science.
