PATRICK B. RIVERS 11/21/76 – 8/27/33

On August 7, 2022, Patrick B. Rivers, loving husband of Stacy Rivers and devoted father of four children, entered his home in Gloryland. Patrick was born on November 21, 1976 in Shreveport to Elmer and L Rivers. A private graveside service was held on August 20 in Pollard Cemetery in Converse.

Patrick worked in the oilfield for 15 years. He also worked at Hendrix manufacturing in Mansfield for 3 years.

Patrick was a dedicated bass fisherman. As a young child he spent most of his time fishing in Fort Jessup at the famous “ O. E. Williams Pond”. Some of his largest bass were caught there.

In 1996, he met his wife Stacy, who also loved fishing and the outside as much as he his did. They would go on to become fishing partners in Many Fishing Tournaments: LA Oilman’s’ Bass Invitational, the Haynesville Shale Bass Bash, and many bass fishing charitable tournaments.’ He enjoyed donating to Shriners’ Hospital and many organizations regarding children’s health. He was a long time member of the Toledo Bend Lake Association, along with his wife and family. Patrick enjoyed what he referred to as “His” Toledo Bend Lake. Here, he met loving friends who were like family. These people that were dear to his heart were involved in fishing tournaments for children right along his side. He, his wife, children and grandchildren participated in the Sabine Soil & Water Conservation District Fish Fest at Cypress Bend for the last 12 years.

Patrick was a Christian and enjoyed reading the Bible. He was a member of the Union Springs Baptist church in Converse. All who knew him enjoyed his great personality in addition to his many jokes. He enjoyed seeing and making others laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Johnny Ray Rivers, Sr., Mike Rivers, Monroe Rivers and sister, Sue Rivers He is survived by his wife Stacy Marie Gage Rivers; sons Patrick B. Rivers, Jr., (Lizzie), Tyler Gage (Hannah); daughters Britney M. Rivers and Haley Rivers; sisters Elaine Rivers, Judy Hershiserand (Johnny), Annette Phelps (Scott), and Margie Heggins; grandchildren Conor Parker, Rorin Gage, Florence Rivers, and Daxten Merriman. He is also survived by his in-laws, Kelvin and Gail Gage; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.

Pall Bearers were Brian Rivers, Tyler Gage, Kelvin Gage, Scott Phelps, Cody Phelps, Kevin Rivers, Steven Barr, and Ned Goodeaux. Honorary Pall Bearers were Johnny Rivers, Jr., Benjamin Rivers, D. J. Heggins, and Mark
